The Hunt for the Power Stones

Chapter 22- The King's Escape

We return back to King Valentino and Queen Athina, they were so happy to see Servic and the beast leave, they had finally had their shot and there's no way in hell they were going to miss it. The King had finally begun working on their escape, he was starving and sore from the lack of food and the hard surface they were sleeping on. The King only had the singular flower and a mediocre sized bone he had obtained from Servic's scraps. He began crushing the flower in his hands with saliva and coated the bone in the paste. Once it was dry the King began pounding away at the chipped rib cage. 

The Queen was on the other side of the cracked rib and could see the integrity of the rib bone chipping away. It was working " Keep going honey, " said the Queen encouragingly. Several hours went by and the King was absolutely drained, the bone was halfway broken but they needed rest. The Following morning, was once again, horrible in this cold, hard, foul-smelling den.  They were desperate to get out. The king ate the last of the food he had and picked up the pollen dust bone and continued hammering away. It was now or never, 3 hours later, WHACK, one massive rib broke off, " YES!!! " yelled the King, he quickly squeezed through and ran to his wife's cage, that's where he realized, " Fuck, how do I get you out " the cage was locked, Servic had crafted these cages almost perfectly, he made them almost impossible to escape, but he did not realize the King wasn't just any ordinary King, he was smart, crafty and resourceful. The cage belonged to the emerald speed stone dragon, there were no known weaknesses so the only way for the Queen to escape was from the door made into the cage.

The King did not know what to do, he contemplated his only 2 options, leave his wife to obtain Columbus's best Locksmith and risk Servic returning to find him gone, or stay and wait for Malik to save them. What he did know was that time was of the essence, he firstly grabbed some food for himself and his wife and pulled Servic's bedsheets and gave them to Queen Athina to be more comfortable, he passed her some firewood and sticks to make a fire in the cage to keep warm.

" I'm sorry honey, I have to go and find help, I cannot breakthrough, I will return I promise, If service returns do what you must, offer him the Kingdom, I will return with Columbus's army to free you and take down our son and the beast. " Hurry back, I love you and be safe " said the Queen, the King began his short journey back home with 2 thoughts in his mind, Fury and Revenge.
