The Father Dragon was nearby when he saw and could feel the lightning bolt that Ezequiel shot at our heroes. He knew that that power belonged to his very first son and the holder of the lightning topaz stone.  The only problem is Malik cannot communicate with the dragon but he knows he owes him so much.

Now the Goblin was absolutely terrified that he teleported away instantly leaving Ezequiel all alone. Gabriel was recovering from his overuse of magic. Malik, James, and Nathaniel all looked up to see Ezequiel with his big long golden wings flapping in the air, he was also terrified of the dragon that picked up and saved the very same dog he condemned to Death. The Dragon used his legs to push off from the ground and nose-dived into the golden glider, sending him flying down towards the ground. Unfortunately, he opened his wings at the last moment stopping him from falling, and splatting flat on his face.

Ezequiel was a stone holder, it was going to take more than a simple headbutt from a dragon to take him down. He knew the sun was out today and it was his plan to get Malik and his friends to this location. He was friends with the Goblin and used him to lure out our heroes. But 1 outcome that wasn't expected was the Dragon coming in to save Jeffrey.

So Ezequiel was mad his plan had gone to shit and his Goblin friend had ditched him, he had brushed off the first attack and flew back up to the same dragon's height, he opened his wings very wide causing the sun's heated reflection to illuminate the dragon's eyes causing temporary blindness. The 3 felt completely useless watching these 2 flying powerful beasts fight it out

Malik felt a sense of care towards the dragon, Malik never hated dragons as much as Servic and Morpheus but now this dragon was on their side helping to fight Ezequiel.
