Chapter 26 - Time is of the Essence

"Wow that's quite the history," said James " Yea, sorry man, I'm glad you're here with us though, are we getting close? " said Malik. " Yea we are, It should be on the other side of this field and we are there," said Gabriel. They continued moving forward when they encountered a huge amounts of wild rabbit running around, James pulled out his bow and began firing away managing to hit 5 rabbits in total. "Nice shooting, remind me never to mess with you haha, said Gabriel," " Thanks and don't worry I only shoot things I want to kill or eat," said James.

Nathaniel gathered some firewood with James and Malik tied up the horses to a nearby tree to let them eat some grass in peace while Gabriel was getting the rabbits ready to be roasted. The 4 men were starving after traveling for hours through the forest and fields. Nathaniel set the wood in a circular shape and Gabriel clicked his fingers lighting a fireball in his palm and flung it at the wood. " That is so cool, Remind me never to mess with you too haha," said James. The sun was coming down and they set up a place to spend the night and began talking about the next day's plans

"We usually like to plan for these kinds of fights because we don't have powers like you do so we have to be strategic about our methods," said Malik. "That's very smart, no wonder your crowned prince of Columbus". " Tell me what else you know about Sergas's abilities," said Malik. "So I saw him before as I was leaving causing havoc, shooting these poisonous quills and thorns out of his body. " Then we must not get anywhere near him or get hit by any of those quills, for now, let's get some rest and tomorrow we will get that 6th stone and save Nathaniel.

The Next Morning, the men were refreshed and ready to begin their day. "1 day down, 2 to go " said Nathaniel to himself. They knew they were getting really close to the swamps as the horrible smell was getting stronger and stronger. The one and only true weakness to anything in life is fire. Fire burns anything and everything in its path. So the men had decided that fire arrows and fire weapons would have to be the way to go. The men had finally arrived at the village that was in ruins. So many dead bodies lined the streets, quills, and thorns sticking out of them. " Why, Why do all of this, what purpose, what reason did he have to do this," said Malik. 
"He's a sick man, and he has to be stopped," said Gabriel. 

There were a few people still left alive tending to the dead and the wounded, " How many people were in this village" said Nathaniel. " There were approximately 120 villagers, filled with kids and parents but now there are only about 50 left alive and only the adults. Sergas Killed almost every single child that lived in that village and leaving numerous kids alive but poisoned," said Gabriel. "We cannot let the rest of the kids die, We will kill Sergas and save all the people he has hurt.
