Chapter 31 - Awaiting a Surprise

King Valentino had arrived at Columbus with the whole kingdom shocked and delighted to see their King once more. He wished he had returned under better circumstances, The King immediately had a bath and had some food as he was starving, smelly and tired. Once the King had composed himself, he quickly ordered for the whole of Columbus's soldiers to be ready and prepared for war against the great Dragon and Servic. The King was fired up and quickly got to the same position he was in when he had the election. He took a deep breath and began yelling at the whole army to make sure they all heard him, " MY LOYAL SOLDIER'S OF COLUMBUS, I HAVE BEEN IMPRISONED BY MY OWN BLOOD FOR 2 WEEKS, I WAS BARELY ABLE TO ESCAPED BUT OUR QUEEN IS STILL TRAPPED IN THE DRAGON'S DEN, STAND WITH ME AND FIGHT FOR OUR QUEEN AND TO TAKE DOWN THIS BEAST ONCE AND FOR ALL, WHO'S WITH ME!!!" yelled the King, The whole army shook with the yells and chants of the Kingdom's army, there were a good thousand soldiers willing to put down their life for the Queen and to defend Columbus.  

The King had decided it was the best route to attack at night as he had hoped to surprise attack the dragon and Servic undetected. The King had ordered for the whole kingdom to use the poison swords crafted from the Poison dragon. They began traveling during the day hoping to arrive at night while the sun was down. 

Servic had returned to the den with Morpheus, exhausted and confused and what they had seen that day. But before he could have a chance to think or plan for an attack he noticed the broken cage and the King missing. " WHERE IS HE " yelled Servic to his mother. Queen Athena had planned for this and had thought of something to say to him and replied with " Son, please don't be angry, your father just went out to get some food and firewood, you had left for days and we were starving, he will return" " HE BETTER, OR YOUR BOTH DEAD " yelled Servic. He walked over to her cell and yanked the dragon skin sheet out of her hands and sat by the Dragon. " Hey Morpheus, are you ok," said Servic. Morpheus blew smoke out of his nose and turned away, his left eye had been seriously injured. He was in pain and Servic had offered to remove the arrow carefully, Morpheus bowed his head to Servic's height and allowed his friend to help. " I'm sorry about this friend, but don't panic, we will make him pay but first we wait till my father returns." Servic was being very gentle as the arrow had gone dead centre in his eye and would take weeks to heal. Luckily Morpheus had the poison healing blood, so healing would improve but for now he would only be able to see with 1 eye. The Dragon was in a sore, weak and tired state from all the flying and attack on his eye. Servic was furious and sat patiently waiting for the Kings return.
