Chapter - 44 Life or Death...

The Dragon couldn't see what was going on and was frantically flying from left and right. Ezequiel took the chance to attack and summoned a lightning bolt so big it looked like it was going to make him explode. After 15 seconds of holding that bolt, he spread open his wings as far as could and aimed in the direction of the Dragon, this lightning pulse was so big and wide that even with the Dragon frantically flying, it still wasn't enough to avoid the blast that was released from Ezequiel. When the Dragon got hit he went down and fell headfirst into a nearby lake. Gabriel, Nathaniel, and James dashed in the direction of the fallen Dragon. "Malik stayed back to climb the mountain to reach Jeffrey. 

As we all Jeffrey isn't just any ordinary dog, he is used to tough terrain and the moment he was safe he began scaling down very carefully, Malik enjoyed climbing as he had to on numerous occasions due to his training and hikes with all the mountains around Columbus. 

Ezequiel had very quickly caught up to the river where the Dragon had fallen while still flying above the river he saw at the end the big mythical creature tired and injured the dragon had been around some wildlife but Ezequiel wasn't ignorant he saw one deer in particular also injured next to the Dragon so unlike the first time he formed a lightning bolt to attack straight into the deer when all of a sudden (Ummph) a fire tipped Magical arrow pierces through Ezequiel's wing to panic and fumble towards the ground in agony just as this happened the dragon who in fact was pretending to be the hurt deer stood up and with 1 big heavy stomp, he squished and flattened the traitor leaving nothing but his mushed remains and 1 shiny glowing lightning topaz stone. 

The Dragon was severely injured and weak, he was bleeding from his legs and his wings were broken, Nathaniel and James felt so useless, they looked towards Gabriel and Gabriel knew he had to do something to repay the helpless old but incredibly powerful brave dragon. He knew he would need to use the lifespell to heal all wounds and help him feel better, but Gabriel was too weak to perform such a spell so he asked to use the stones but the spell would take too long and the Dragon was dying very quickly so Gabriel did the only thing he could do, reached into his bag and took out the only vile of the Alexandrite stone holder's blood left in history. 

He walked up to the Dragon and gently raised his hand and the Dragon saw the blood and could smell and feel that the blood had his son's powers. Gabriel tipped over the vile onto the Dragon's tongue and seconds later the Dragon's whole body began to glow and his wings snapped back together, his blood had instantly stopped gushing out and he began standing up on all fours, he stood tall and opened his wings and spread them open so wide. He bowed his head in gratitude, the 3 men did the same. the Giant beast flapped his enormous wings and flew off.
