"You're not going alone." Epps said as he looked at Sam, "I still got my NEST friends out there. I'll round them up, we'll find your girlfriend, we're gonna bring this guy in." Aurora stood up and walked over before speaking up, "I'm going too." She told the two
Sam shook his head, "It's too dangerous, and you've had one hell of a day." Sam told her, "Sam, Carly's my friend. I'm going." She told him once again, "They killed my friends too, so he's going to pay." Aurora stated firmly as she picked up her gun and walked away from the two of them.
The three sat in Epps car, Aurora sat in the back seat with her head against the window as she watched the houses pass by. The blonde wore her regular NEST uniform, the ring and chain hanging around her neck above the vest, close to her heart.
"We had a signal earlier. It's not working." Epps said as he played with the radio of his car. "This is a national emergency broadcast." The voice came through the radio, "Chicago has suffered a massive attack." Aurora watched as a man flagged down their car while shouting, "Wrong way! Get out of here! Go back!" Epps looked at him but continued past him, closer to the city.
As the approached the edge of the city, the three climbed out of the car. Aurora placed the gun on her back as she looked around, only hearing screaming and crying around them.
"My god. We came here to find her in the middle of all that?" Epps asked as he looked towards the city. "Are we really going out there, Epps?" Stone asked as he looked around the destroyed buildings. "I'm not going in there." Eddie said as he shook his head. "No ones going in."
Aurora scoffed and walked forward, "I am. With or without you. We'll find her." Aurora snapped as Sam started following her, "You're going to get yourselves killed. Is that what you want? Is that what you want? You came all the way out here to get yourselves killed? Huh? Listen to what I'm saying." Epps demanded as he looked at the two friends.
"She's here because of me. Do you understand?" Sam asked as he looked at Epps. "Listen, if you go in this building, that's if she's even still alive, there's no way you're gonna be able to reach her!"
"What do you suggest we do?"
"It's over. I'm sorry, but it's over."
"No." Sam and Aurora said.
The sound of a ship coming towards them stopped the argument, "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Incoming!" Eddie yelled as he ran for cover. Aurora looked up and quickly pulled Sam to the ground before the sound of a cannon fired. The ship flew over the three in the street before crashing into a building behind them.
