SCP-104

"The Lonely Ball"

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-104 is to be contained...in a steel box. How original. Access is restricted to class three and higher.

104 shouldn't, no, wait, probably shouldn't come in contact with living things.

If you get 'imprinted' by 104, then you should come on down so we can 'unimprint' you

uh, ignore that.

Description: 104 is a glass sphere of sadness. It has little white and black lines underneath its surface, and its 'core' is made of wood.

The design itself is kinda trippy, as all the people who viewed it had a different idea of what it looked like.

Hey. Remember this?

This is him now

Feel old yet?

I think I'm the only person on the face of the planet to get this

it's so tragically unfunny.

(this is my life now, I guess)

When touched by a person in 104's 'Unimprinted' state, it will 'Imprint'  on said subject.

If the imprinted person moves more than 9 meter away- sorry, 30 feet, I'm American, if the subject moves more than 30 feet away from 104, it'll teleport near you.

Like an extremely needy child.

And it does that regardless of intervening objects, or actual distance.

Every hour that the subject stays at 30 feet away (or more) from 104, it moves a foot closer until it's touching you. If it's already touching the subject, then it stops moving.  If it didn't, I'd imagine it would get messy.

Wait, what

104 won't do this to 'unimprinted' individuals and 104 will only imprint one person at a time.

Thick cloth or metal blocks 104....mostly.

104 is not genetically based, most unlike those annoying people on Facebook.

This just in: 104 is indestructible. for example: it always appears good as new when it fREAKING rEAPPEARS.

What's up with everyone making Skips indestructible?

Because if the Foundation could, I'm pretty sure they would try to destroy it. Or is that the GOC? Someone clear this one up for me, please?

Wait, what about SCP-079?

what about it

There is absolutely no mention (as far as I know) of it being water-proof.  Just dunk it in a toilet. You'll have one less problem to deal with.

....have you always been this blasphemous?

Yes. This is borderline illegal.

Okay, for some reason, 104 cause paranoia and anger in most subjects, but apparently that's not an effect of 104's constant presence. It's just a bit annoying, that's all.

104 can only be 'unimprinted' if the subject dies, or if they enter a near-death state. After which it will enter it's 'unimprinted' state until touched.

Thick gloves impede the imprinting process, but only as long as they're at least 0.5 inches (13mm) thick.

Here's an origin story for you: 104 was recovered in a flea market from a guy carrying it around in a bowling bag. The man was never identified and sold it to some Agent for a quarter.

Nice guy.

Notes 104-1108-r:

GUYS. 104 is totally some sort of uh, alien probe or even better, a recording device. I mean, maybe not, it's made of stuff we actually know, and I don't even think it has the means to do either of those things, but it's being investigated, and like, bro, ALIENS.

Stay woke, kids.
