The two of them raced through the waters and the freshness of it cooled [Y/N]'s body instantly. Just the sway of it blocked out everything that had occurred today. All she cared right now was to enjoy this moment, and to feel the rush of adrenaline that was seeping through her. Kicking her legs as hard as she could, she peered at the blurry boy next to her, who was also competing with force. They both wanted to reach the other side of the lake first...and they both wanted it bad.

They reached the end and broke through the water's surface at the same time. "I won," [Y/N] and Kuro declared at the same time. They looked at each other in surprise before the [h/c] haired girl glared at the playboy.

"I for sure won that," she argued, gritting her teeth. As she said that, her eyes noticed how handsome he was looking, with his dark hair wet and messy, and his face dotted of sparkling drops of water. She mentally cursed at herself for doing so. Damn hormones. They always came up at the worst timing.

It was worst that Kuro somehow knew what she was thinking of. His smug grin spread on his face and then he purposefully swept his fingers through his hair slowly. She blinked at the sight of it and began to feel the heat of her cheeks. She knew what he was doing and she was not going to have any of it. "Are you sure about that, restroom girl?" he asked her.

"You're a fool." She rolled her eyes and swam closer to him to give him a shove. Pushing his bare chest, the cool contact of his smooth skin increased her heart rate. Quickly letting her hand go and giving more distance between the two, she let out a sigh.

The boy laughed at the small shove and with great strength, he splashed water onto her face. She spluttered and closed her eyes in shock, before wiping it off her face. "You're so on," she said with a challenging grin. Pulling her arms back, she then pushed at the waters in front of her as hard as she could. It landed on his face and now a war had begun.

Back and forth, they aimed water at each other's faces. They dodged and then attacked. It was like a game of strategy. And whether [Y/N] would like to admit it or not, it made her laugh a lot. So much that she nearly had choked one time, when she was caught off guard and Kuro had sprung water right into her mouth.

Then they did some cannonballs into the water. Running from the grassy meadow, they then sprung up into the air, wrapped themselves into balls, and landed into the clear water with a loud splash. Kuro, being the talent fuck he was, even did some clean flips into the water, which [Y/N] couldn't help but clap at.

When they were tired out and panting like dogs, they slowed down. They leaned backwards to float on their backs in the middle of the lake. Their deep breathing and the birds humming above filled the silence, so [Y/N] stared at the blue horizons of the sky calmly. Gazing at the whimsical looking clouds that floated along with them, she raised her arm from the water and imagined herself grabbing the cloud. She would jump on it and float on it, soaring through the skies and to where it was unreachable.

"You know we're going to go back to hating each other after today, right?" she softly said, breaking the silence.

He chuckled, the low rumble slightly shaking the waters beneath them. "I didn't know we hate each other."

She groaned. "Well then—back to me hating you and you back to being an annoying prick on my ass."

Even if she couldn't actually see his face, she could practically feel the smirk that was there. "I know you like my attention."

She frowned to herself. He was already back to being his asshole-y self and it was because she brought up this topic. She had no one else to blame but herself. She might as well go back to threatening him again then. "I wonder if this place could be an easy place to murder someone. I could probably easily drown you here and no one would know, don't you think?" she suggested jokingly.

He easily came back with a counter that made her want to yank her hair out. "I'd prefer if you save me from drowning and give me cpr," he said slyly.

Not wanting to talk about this shit any longer, she brought up something else. "You're here because of some problems at home, aren't you?"

He was silent for a moment and she knew she was right. "I guess," was his short response. In those two words, she could hear through them that he didn't want to talk about it. Even so, she wanted to push his buttons a little.

"I do too," she said, her voice heavy. "You don't need to be ashamed—"

The waves formed by Kuro as he pushed himself into a standing position knocked [Y/N] down as well. She got back up to the surface and looked at him in confusion. "I should get going," he muttered, his words icy.

She gulped and felt a little hurt at his behavior, before she realized who the hell she was talking to. Nodding and no longer acting as friendly as earlier, she also looked at him with a stoic face. Both of them getting discomfited at the weird atmosphere, they pushed themselves onto the bank and pulled on their clothes over their wet bodies.

The feeling of freedom that had gone as fast as it came was totally gone by now, and she was looking the world with reality bitterness. She was now even self conscious of her body, so she wrapped her arms across her chest, where her wet bra made a dark outline on her shirt.

Looking over at the handsome boy in front of her, he was also fully dressed, so with a small nod towards her, he was the first to leave the area.

She sadly watched as his figure grew smaller and smaller. If only the bliss could stay a little longer.
