Never Ending Tomorrow

Chapter 11

The view is so nice. Green healthy grass, the skies is so bright, the wind is so fresh.

"Levi, anak?"

I suddenly stop admiring this paradise-like place when I heard my mom's voice. I look at her and in just a second, tears started falling from my eyes.

"Mom?" I run to her and hug her pero bigla siyang nawala.

"Princess."

I tried look for my dad as I heard his voice pero wala akong makita. But then I saw a man and a woman in white, standing sa 'di kalayuan. Tumakbo papalapit sa kanila, it's my parents.

"Mom! Dad!" I stopped in front of them while tears are running down from my eyes, and I tried to hug them, again. Pero nawala na naman sila.

Nilibot ko ulit ang paningin ko at nakita ulit sila sa 'di kalayuan. I run towards them. But this time, pinigilan ko na ang sarili kong yakapin sila, kahit I badly want to feel their embrace.

"Hi, princess." Sabi ni daddy.

"I missed you so much." I didn't even bother to wipe my tears kahit na sunod-sunod ang pagbagsak nito.

"Honey, we missed you too." I heard mom saying na nagcause ng pagbreakdown ko.

"That's why we're here. Para sunduin ka."

I suddenly stopped, at nanlaki ang mata ko nang marinig ang sinabi ni daddy. "We can be together na ulit, as a family, baby."

I look at their eyes, asking for explanation, but they just give me a smile.

I know what they meant sa sinabi nila. Matagal ko ng hinihiling na makasama sila, but bakit parang may pumipigil sa akin ngayon. Lalo na nang ilahad ni daddy ang kamay niya, para iabot ang kamay ko. I really, really want to feel their touch but not in this way.

"Mom? Dad? Sorry." As soon as dad heard that, binawi n'ya ang kamay n'ya then smile.

"We knew it, baby. Alam naming ayaw mo pang umalis. And we understand. Sinubukan lang namin." Sabi ni mommy while smiling. "Alice and mama made you a strong girl, my Leviana."

I cried my heart out. After how many years, eto na, nakita ko na ulit sila. Kahit hindi ko sila mahawakan. Kahit papaano ay naibsan ang pangungulila ko sa kanila.

"We need to go, princess." I look at daddy with tears all over my cheeks. "Just always remember that, what happened yesterday will never happen today. Learn to ignore yesterday's cruelty and welcome tomorrow with peace."

"I love you, princess." Sabay na sabi nila.

That was the last thing that I've heard from them before they disappear.

I opened my eyes at nilibot ang mata ko sa silid na kung nasaan ako. Puro puti ang nakikita ko. I tried moving may hands pero may nakahawak dito.

"Levi?" I look at Kai nang marinig ko s'yang magsalita.

"Levi?!" I heard tita Alice shouting. "Call the nurse!" Natatarantang sabi niya.

"I thought we lost you na." I look at Rye with confusion nang sabihin niya 'yun. "Halos maubusan ka ng dugo. And you died for like, five minutes?"
