Day 21

The loud rain sounds filled the main room of Mina's house. The sky was gray, sometimes thunder comes too. Mina was alone inside that big house. She didn't know what to do, she felt afraid and insecure. She attempted to close her ears with both of her hands but it didn't help. The sounds of rain were still audible to her ears.

She hates being this vulnerable. It sucks. She wanted to be brave since it feels so wrong to be a coward.

Chaeyoung hasn't come yet. She has no option but to wait for him, low-key hoping that he would come in any time soon.

She felt bad for saying those things to Chaeyoung yesterday. She was upset because Chaeyoung lied to her. Even though she doesn't mean to hurt Chaeyoung, she did.

The past memories suddenly flashed on her mind. Those difficult periods in her life, the time when her brother left her. As if the scene replayed again, it was also raining in the morning, and she was alone. She knew she can't change anything, Her brother will never come back how much she cried for him.

Her brother gave her trauma about boys. He promised to stay and always by her side but he didn't. He was being selfish and broke all the promises with her. Promise to always stay by her side, to always protect her and make her happy.

That was why Mina stopped to easily believe in anyone. She hates it when someone caught up lying to her. She closed herself and didn't let people enter her life. She was also avoiding SNS and stuff to minimize social interaction with people during those times.

After all, she lost interest with new person. Especially boys.

But it was all in the past before Chaeyoung came to her life and changed everything.

He said the exact promises as her brother. Like a missing piece of a jigsaw puzzle, Chaeyoung completed her life again. She got to experience how it feels to be understood and loved by someone from Chaeyoung.

For Mina, loving someone is motivating each other to accomplish their wish and making each of you a better person day by day. Love gave you strength and power, they encourage you to do things for your loved one.

Love also can make you crazy sometimes, they make you worried sick when that special person is not around. You become curious about them and wanted to know that person more.

In a coincidence, Chaeyoung made that happened. But, back again to her concern, it's his job. He was hired by the company to cure her anxiety.

Sometimes she got confused. Is it love that Chaeyoung show to her, or it was only a part of his job that made him do the things?

Thinking of Chaeyoung make her felt guilty, she was too easy to jump into conclusion yesterday. She regretted the way she said that Chaeyoung is only a stranger to her.

They're not a stranger. No way a stranger knew each other's favorite food, favorite places, and each other's story. They know each other too well to be called a stranger.

She wanted to fix this misunderstanding between them. She didn't want to lose her puzzle piece again. She didn't want Chaeyoung to stop caring towards her yet. She didn't want to lose her happy pills yet.

In short, she didn't want to lose Chaeyoung.

Their awkwardness yesterday is enough, she can't stand any longer not talking to him. Since that day, when she decided to buy him a pair of shoes, Chaeyoung already has a special place in her heart.

Mina gripped on her ears tightly. The more sounds of rain entered her ears, the more anxious she be.
