(I do apologize everyone, however I am a little busy as of late. I'll still be able to update, but it might be delayed by a day or something here and there. I'll make an effort to get the chapters out as soon as I can! Also, that surprise that I was talking about. So I wrote out a whole plotline for a second book on 'The King's Queen'. So you guys now get to start thinking about whether you want me to do the Underswap Sans story, or the second book to The King's Queen! Anyway, enjoy!~)

---(Y/n)'s Pov---

So then... I'm supposed to be having a date with Sans today.

.......

Huh... that somehow doesn't seem real when I think about it. This will quite literally be my first date, and the only romantic involvement that I have ever took part in. You'd think that I've been on many dates, or have had more than one boyfriend or something- but that was far from the truth. My family, around five years ago, weren't so interested in the whole 'developing your feelings' thing. To be perfectly honest, it was hard to tell if my family actually possessed any kind of emotional connection.

Anyway... that is a subject for another time. I wasn't too fond of my past, and Grillby tried to keep me far away from it.

"I have a nice dress that you can wear." Grillby began, dragging me away from my thoughts. I narrowed my eyes as I slowly looked off into his direction. The fire Monster was putting away some of the wine bottles that were not used up over the week.

"I don't like dresses." I replied with a huff. Grillby stopped putting away the bottles, only to turn towards my direction. He readjusted his glasses and gave off a feeling that could only be described as patience.

"You look pretty in a dress." He argued while crossing his arms.

"They make me feel like an upper-class lady" I groaned out.

"Aren't you?"

I suddenly glared at Grillby sharply, and in return, he raised his hands in defense. I knew that he meant well, but wearing that type of clothing would always give the wrong message. Back when Sans first saw me, not as an informant but as an assistant... he took me for the prissy type because of my 'forced' clothing selection. I wouldn't be slipping into something like that anytime soon.

Because I was having that date today with Sans, he allowed us to close down the bar. I'm fairly certain that Grillby is appreciating the time off, since things have been hectic ever since we opened. Sure the Monsters hate me, but they love Grillby.

Grabbing an elastic from around my wrist, I pulled back my hair for a moment and tied it up in a bun, strands loosely fell to give me a more elegant touch to my style. In all honesty, I wasn't very good at tying my hair back, or anything of the sort. Simple things like this felt easy enough, but I usually tried to avoid the more delicate efforts that most girls found time for.

Of course, my hair had no comparison to my choice of clothing. I decided to change out my usual white sleeved shirt for a pale blue one. Of course, I still applied a black waist coat and tight black pants to enhance the posture of my figure. "Are you going to one day tell Sans?"

I stopped patting down my outfit to glance in Grillby's direction. He had a worried expression that I couldn't ignore, but it was also very serious. Letting out a small sigh, I really wasn't too sure. "I don't think that he'll handle it well. Just because I am giving him special attention just this once, does not mean that I suddenly trust him. He seems reputable... but in this line of work? You can't be too careful."

Grillby didn't respond to what I said since Sans opened the door to the restaurant. He was wearing a black coat instead of his dark pale purple one, showing that he made some kind of clothing difference for our date? To be honest, that effort probably belonged to Papyrus. "Heya, sweets."
