(Well then... we're almost nearing this whole conclusion. Funny enough from the previous chapter, I made sure to change around what was probably your initial thoughts on what happened- I don't like to be too obvious haha! Anyway, enjoy!~)
---Sans' Pov---
Looking at the panicked expressions on the faces of the Mobsters in the room made me feel some kind of irritation. I wanted answers for this, especially after I saw the damage.
What happened earlier was completely uncalled for... I showed up at Grillby's bar, only to dodge his attempt at throwing something at me. His aggression really put me on edge, I mean- Grillbz? Mad? It was rare.
But once he gestured off towards her destroyed piano... I saw all of the bullet holes throughout the walls. It was something unexpected...
The fire Monster had his tie loosely hung around his neck and appeared exhausted. I noticed a broken bat on the floor, the same one that he kept on hand at his bar before coming here. "Do you have any idea how much that piano meant to her?! To me?!"
Grillby was in a fit of rage. I almost didn't catch his words because of how focused I was on the gun shots throughout the walls... but, even now they firmly echoed around in my skull. "Every time she doesn't sleep, (Y/n) will make her bed up to look like she's in it. Who ever came in here thought that she was sleeping, and shot up her damned bed!"
His words snapped me back to reality, making me realize just how severe this whole thing was. Someone had intentionally tried to break into the bar- just to kill the little miss?! "They would of killed her, Sans! Even if she was fucking asleep!"
Grillby didn't like to swear.
"Someone here has had it out for her... ever since we got here, Sans!" Grillby shouted. I knew that if I didn't do something right then, that he'd bring up leaving...
I didn't want her to leave this place... I would never be able to relax if she were out of my line of sight. But still, I also had other problems that needed to be resolved. "When I came in here, my glasses were knocked off of my face... so I went to grab the bat and started swinging at them. I don't know who it was- but I swear If I get my hands on them... they'll regret shooting at me!"
He was still fuming... and I couldn't believe that whoever this was- that they decided to stick around to shoot at Grillbz. Regardless, after seeing what happened first hand... I wasn't going to be the nice guy anymore. I've been holding up that role for long enough, pretending to be good in front of (Y/n) because I was a bit self conscious.
But now, with her life in danger because of how I let up- I couldn't afford not to care anymore. At this very moment, I had to return to my real role... she might be able to get my better side when we're alone, but I wasn't going to put up a front with the Mobsters anymore.
"So. Who did it."
Everyone stared at me, wide eyed... and I stared back with an eerie silence. My gloved phalanges glided over my weapon, ready to pull it out against my next victim. In all honesty, I was losing my patience with the Monsters in the room... and I knew that (Y/n) probably didn't want to be in the middle of this.
Normally, I wouldn't of wanted to involve her in any of this... though, she was the initial target of everything. She needed to be here, to see some kind of justice over her attackers. Also, I was tired of her pretending that nothing was wrong. I thought that she might give up some kind of reaction to anyone in the room... something that could tell me who was bothering her.
And by now, I was also very worried about leaving her alone. To think that if she wasn't with me last night-
Dismissing the idea of that, I took my gun out of my pocket and started to wave it around with a smirk. The Monsters cowered at my sense of ease, watching as I didn't give in to any kind of sympathy. "My, my. It seems as though your hands are a little full, Sansy.~"
