Down the hall and alone as she walked to the class. Without a companion who accompanied her daily on her side, it truly triggered various questions from her classmates; Rather the brave ones who dared take the risks to ask her out.

Thousands of masterpieces on canvas could not, and her father dared if they were to rival her beauty of them. A holy grail like her; It was only obvious that every single guy in the class wanted to claim the right to the treasure, in this case, their dance partner.

"Hi, Athanasia. Are you available in the next few weeks? For a specific school event?"

"We have a school event coming up?"

He extended his hand to the front, proposing an agreement for Athanasia. "Yes. I am hoping to be your partn—" Someone was already shaking his hand and it was far too large to belong to the girl he wished to share the dance with.

"Hey there, buddy." The guy who was shaking his hand smiled sinisterly, making the class monitor stumble back away from everyone who was watching, yet that very person who was cloaking with ominous energy did not plan on letting go just yet as he stepped closer to the poor boy.

"What the hell do you think you are doing back there?" Lucas whispered dangerously low and the class monitor whimpered shamelessly. "Shhhhshh. No talking. Just listen. Because everyone is watching and you are her classmate, I'm gonna be a very nice guy and let you go with just one warning."

"Y—yEs SIR."

"I said no talking." He leaned closer and snarled his invisible fangs. "She is off-limit. If I find you try something again, I will come for you." The message was delivered and Lucas took a step back and head toward the table.

"What were you trying to say back then?" Raising an eyebrow in confusion at the conversation between the two just shared, Athanasia asked.  Lucas glanced at the class monitor, daring him to answer properly. And the poor guy was trying his best not to show any sight of fear as he studded.  "T—Though it is nothing important! Please excuse me... I have... Documents to submit."

The flashback of the unpleasant living nightmare had put a stop to the Class Monitor's daring desire as he tore his eyes away from his target and dismissed his friend's encouragement at the same time. This a wise choice he ought to make if he would not want to transfer to another school in the middle of the semester.

Those whispers that resounded within the class were nothing out of ordinary and she had to assume that it was a normal atmosphere since the class had not started yet. Oblivious to the fact that she was the source of the feast to both eyes and gossip inside the class, Athanasia laid her head on the desk, using her books to indulge her head lazily.

Something was missing and it was too dull for her liking. She propped herself up and turned around. Words stuck within the tip of her tongue when she found nothing but an empty seat.

Oh... I forgot...

Jeannette eyed her cousin with curiosity. Knowing Athanasia for many years, she knew her cousin was the chatty type and definitely not someone who would lay her head flat on the table like this. Realizing what she was supposed to remind Athanasia, Jeannette shook her cousin's shoulder gently.

"Hey, Athy. Helena was looking for Lucas. I think she got something to say to him. And he is not here?"

"He is not available..."

"As in?"

"He is taken..."

"By who?"

"I—I mean he... Uh... He is busy... Somewhere..." She waved her cousin away. "I'm gonna sleep."
