Mom,
I know that you keep hoping I'll write you a letter and tell you that things are getting better. That I finally got out of the apartment and made some friends. But unfortunately I will not be writing that letter yet.
I woke up this morning with a new sense of positivity. It was strange. I woke up and for the first time didn't dread it. I walked to the beach and sat on the dock for a bit and watched the sun rise. Then people started showing up so I left.
I wanted to stay. I told myself to stay but my anxiety got the best of me. So then I came back home and read then I watched a movie, fed myself and now here I am writing you this letter that is only going to disappoint you. I'm sorry mom. I'm really trying but I'm just still healing. I hope you'll understand. I'm going to try to visit soon. I just need to get more mentally prepared before coming home.
