Winging It: Part 1 (Hawks)

I walked out of work and stretched before walking towards home. I stood at a crosswalk waiting for it to tell me I could go. When it finally turned green I took a couple steps into the street, before a horn got blasted in my ears. I turned my head to see a car racing towards me and I took a breath in. 

I had time to move, to run, to do something. But my legs wouldn't move. All I could do was close my eyes.

I felt something hit me, and then wind in my hair.

"I got you kid." I heard in my ear. And when I opened my eyes, I saw that the one that hit me was Pro-Hero Hawks. I was in his arms as he crouched on the hood of the car, that was going to hit me. The car was racing down the road with police cars trailing behind. The driver started swerving left and right trying to shake Hawks off the car. 

I slammed my hand down onto the hood of the car, and almost instantly the car turned off. As I was sucking the energy out of the car.

"What are you doing kid?" Hawks asked as he noticed the car was slowing down, and in fact braking down.

"Making your job easier." I told him. As the car rolled to a stop. Hawks got off the hood of the car and set me down. Police immediately surrounded the car and the people inside got out to be arrested. "So what was that about?" I asked.

"These guys just robbed a bank a couple of minutes ago." He told me. "More importantly, how did you do that?"

"My quirk is Energize." I told him. "I can take and control energy. I just drained the energy out of the car battery."

"The was pretty amazing." Hawks said. "So what's you name?"

"Y/n l/n." I told him, and held my hand out to him.

"Hawks, but you can call me Keigo." He said and winked at me, and I rolled my eyes.

"I should probably head home." I told him.

"Wait, can I give you a lift?" He asked me. "Where do you live?"

"I live about twelve blocks from here." I said. 

"Oh not a problem." He told me and picked me up off the ground, and took to the air before I could even try to object. 

"Really this isn't necessary." I told him, but we were already high up and the height scared me a bit. 

"Oh don't worry I got you." He said.

"Yeah." I sighed and grabbed onto him a little tighter. I looked at him in order to take my mind off of the idea of how high up we were right then, and watched as the wind blew through his hair. His giant beautiful wings out straight as we soared through the sky, only flapping a couple of times. The sun glaring off of his glasses, I could see his his beautiful golden eyes reflecting the sun set off of them.

"What are you staring at kid?" Hawks asked me, pulling me from my thoughts.

"I have the same set of headphones at home." I said, trying to hide the real reason I was staring. Although it was true, I did have the same set in my office.

"Really?" He asked me. "And what do you use a fancy smancy headset like this for?"

"I'm a streamer." I told him. "I play video games online and stream-."

"You're HottyHazelGirl!" Hawks said excited, as he suddenly blurted out my streamer identity.

"You know me?" I yelled. "I've never shown my face before."

"No but I thought your voice sounded familiar!" He said and started laughing. "I watch your streams and videos all the time! Or when I can at least."

"Seriously?" I asked, and I was honestly baffled.

"Yeah." He said as we landed on top of my apartment building. "This is crazy, can I get your autograph?"

"You, want my autograph?" I asked. "The great Pro-Hero Hawks wants my autograph?" And he shrugged as he pulled a picture of himself out of his pocket with a pen.

"Please?" He begged. I laughed and took the picture from him, he turned around so I could use his back to write. I laughed and signed it right across his forehead along with my phone number. I folded it up and handed it to him.

"I didn't say this before, but thank you for saving me." I told him and walked away.

"Hey, any time." He said and started unfolding it. I opened the roof door of my apartment building, and went down the stairs to my floor. I unlocked my door, right as I got a notification on my phone. I closed my door and tossed my keys onto my counter and took my jacket off before looking at my phone.

'Smooth move.'

It said from an unknown number, along with a picture of Keigo holding up the picture with my signature on his forehead. I laughed and made the picture his contacts photo.

I walked over to my fridge and grabbed a water bottle before heading towards my office. I sat down in my chair and logged on to play games and stream.

"Dude, did you actually meet Hawks today?" A friend of mine practically yelled when they joined my discord.

"How do you know about that?" I asked him.

"It's all over his social media." He said and I clicked over to my Twitter to see that I had been tagged in a post from Hawks. I covered my mouth and smiled over the fact he posted a picture He had sent me with my number blurred out. 

'Got the opportunity to save and meet my hero HottyHazelGirl today! #Blessed'

I laughed, and followed his profile. 

"Alright." I said after I started up my game and stream. Immediately there were hundreds of people in my stream's chat blowing up over the fact I got to meet Hawks. "I drained a car battery today, I got energy to go all night! Let's get it!" And all night I couldn't stop smiling.
