Pity Party: Part 21 (Bakugo)

The whole Bakugo squad was walking back to the dorms when suddenly the boys broke off from me and Mina. 

"Where are you guys going?" Mina asked as Bakugo kissed my cheek quickly before running after the boys.

"We gotta go do something!" They yelled back, and they all left before we could question them any more.

"Okay~?" I questioned and me and Mina walking again.

"I can't wait to see Bakugo's face in your dress!" She said as she bounced up and down. "Hey do you want to come with me to get my dress?"

"I thought you already had your dress." I said in slight confusion.

"I did, but I accidentally ripped it, so I had to get it fixed." She explained. "Come on just got to stop at the mall, and it's on the way."

"Okay, okay." I said and we walked into the mall. "Umm, hey Mina?"

"Yeah?" She asked as she lead me towards the tailor shop.

"Is there something on my face or something?" I asked her.

"No why?" She asked after taking a moment to look at me.

"Then why is everyone staring at me?" I asked and Mina looked around us to see that there was in fact people staring at me. Although I had thought they were staring at Mina, but I was making direct eye contact with people.

"I don't know." She said. We ignored them and made it to the shop, where Mina picked up her dress.

"Ma'am, have you been in here before?" The tailor behind the counter asked me as he was ringing up Mina.

"Umm, no this is my first time in." I told him.

"Are you sure?" He asked me. "You look so familiar."

"Yeah I'm sure." I told him. Mina thanked him and we left. "I'm starting to feel uncomfortable." I whispered to Mina as the eyes only got more intense.

"Umm, y/n." Mina said and I turned to see she had stopped walking. I looked at her, and she was staring across the way at a store. It was the same store I had gotten my dress at, for big women.

"What?" I asked and she pointed to the tv screen sign they had to display the different clothes they had in the store.

I watched as it displayed that they were having a big sale on dresses, but what came after was what Mina was pointing at.

Pictures of me in their dresses were flashing on the screen. They were pictures from when I had been in earlier in the week.

And I looked great in the photos. They looked how I had felt in every dress.

"What?" I questioned quietly to myself. We walked across the way, and saw the woman that had helped me find my dress.

"Hey there!" She said excitedly. "Did you like our sign?"

"Where did you get those pictures?" I asked her.

"Oh it's my quirk." She laughed. She showed us copies of the pictures, they were pictures from her memories.

"This is how you see me?" I asked as I looked at all the photos.

"Yeah." She told me. "And I was hoping I would see you again. I was wanting to offer you a modeling position for my company."

"You're company?" I asked her.

"Yes I own this store, along with the rest of them around the world." She said and showed me her sketch book. "I'm a fashion designer, and my girlfriend is a seamstress. She's the one that made your dress."

"My dress?" I asked.

"Mhm, that dress was one I had been working on for a while, and it was the first of it's kind." She told me.

I couldn't believe this was happening.

"Wait, wait, wait." I said trying to process everything. "You want me-?"

"To model for my company." She said with the brightest smile. "And of course you'll be paid, along with discounts at any of the stores."

"Girl say yes." Mina said shaking me.

"Wait, but I'm in school." I told her.

"That's okay, we can work around your school schedule." She told me. "We'll only do a photoshoot probably once a month, and we can schedule it for what works best for you. And you go to UA, right? When you start doing more hero work, you won't have to cover up your scars or bruises. My company is all about the natural body."

"I-." I started to say, but honestly my brain was blowing up a bit. Mina was hugging onto me and and was bouncing up and down. "Yes." I said.

"Great, is your dance tonight?" She asked both me and Mina.

"Yeah." We both answered.

"Okay then you don't have to worry about it right now. Here's my card." She handed me her company card with her phone number. "And if you change your mind, don't worry about it. No hard feelings, these things can be a bit overwhelming."

"Okay." I said and she gave us some hugs and wished us fun at our dance.

"Girl you're going to be a model!" Mina yelled as she jumped up and down. "Oh my god! We have to tell the girls!" She started dragging me out of the mall.

"I can't believe this is happening." I said. "That's how she sees me."

"That's how we all see you." Mina told me.

"Really?" I asked her, and just laughed.

"Of course." She told me.

"I feel like crying." I told her, but I also couldn't help but laugh.

"Well if you're going to cry, get it out now." She told me as we entered the dorms. "Cause once we get all glammed up, no crying!"

"Yes ma'am." I told her.

"Our girl is going to be a model!" Mina screamed as she busted down Momo's door. All the girls from 1-A was there already getting started on their hair and makeup.

"What?" Uraraka asked, and Mina wouldn't stop jumping. 

Mina took a couple of minutes to explain what happened as I just watched her lose her mind. 

"Good for you y/n." Tsuyu said and hugged me.

"Thank you." I said and did a curtsy. 

"Now we have to get you all dolled up for Bakugo, come here." Momo said and patted the chair in front of her vanity mirror. I sat down and let Momo do whatever she wanted with my hair.

And when I looked up at the mirror, and for the first time I couldn't really recognize myself. After seeing how other people see me, compared to how I see myself. I felt crazy.

"Sweetie why are you crying?" Momo asked. "Did I burn you with the iron?"

"Huh?" I asked and realized that I was crying. "Oh no, I'm okay."

"Our girl has just had a big day." Mina said as she hugged me from behind. She kissed my cheek before wiping my tears away. 

I nodded and I couldn't make myself stop smiling. 

I felt pretty.
