Grounding: Part 8 (Kirishima)

"Guys wake up!" Was piratically yelled in my ear, and both me and Kiri sat up in a panic.

"Mina, what do you want." Kiri whined, and I plopped back down on the bed.

"The five of us are going to the beach!" She squealed, and I moaned covering my head with a pillow.

"You especially bitch!" Mina said and grabbed the pillow and started beating my face with the pillow.

"Mina why?" I yelled at her in between smacking me in the face.

"Because you are sad." She told me, and continued to beat me. "And I'm not going to stand for it! So we are going to the beach! Even if I have to drag you there!" 

"Kiri help!" I begged, but all I heard was laughter coming from him, Bakugo, and Denki.

"Say yes! Say yes! Say yes!" Mina begged, even though it didn't seem like I was going to have any other choice.

"Okay, okay, okay!" I yelled back at her, and the pillow finally stopped.

"Great lets go!" She said and ran out of the room. I sat up, and felt like I had been hit by a truck. I got out of bed and went to my room to pack for the beach.

"Yay!" Mina said as we stepped off the bus and walked towards the sand. "Say y/n, could you show us some of your quirk while we're here? We haven't gotten to see you in action yet." Mina said and grabbed my hands.

"I don't see why not." I said, and with that Mina dragged me the rest of the way to the sand. And I couldn't help but laugh at her. "You guys ready?" I asked and took my shirt off, we had all changed into our bathing suits before we had left.

"Hell yeah!" Kiri said as he got excited. I laughed before lifting both my hands into the air and bringing the sand around my feet with them. I swirled it around my body and closed my eyes as I felt it moving around me. I brought my other hand up and brought it towards my body, and I opened my eyes and watched as the water I picked up from the ocean came to me and I combined them together.

I smiled and made it travel around my body before I started building a sand castle. I built it, and smiled at how amazed everyone around me was at the small sand castle I built.

"That's awesome!" Denki said. "What else can you do?"

"I can walk on water." I said.

"Do it!" They all yelled at me and I laughed a little nervously at how excited everyone was. I took my shorts off and tossed them with the rest of my stuff before I took off at the ocean. Once I reached the water, I felt how cold it was on the bottom of my foot as I ran over the top of the surface.

"This is amazing!" I heard Mina yell from the shore. 

"It's alright." I heard Bakugo comment and I laughed and let myself fall straight down into the water. It was cold, but on a hot day like today, it felt great. I opened my eyes and watched under water as the group joined me in the water.

I blew bubbles in their direction and they traveled through the water until the bubbles attached to their faces and let them breath. Swam around under the water for a bit until we all surfaced.

"You're quirk is amazing!" Kiri said.

"Is it? Or is just alright?" I asked and stared at Bakugo.

"It's just alright." He said, annoyed at me. I laughed and looked out further at the ocean, and saw a wave coming. 

"Then watch this." I told them and pulled myself out of the water and up onto the surface, and started running father out to sea. 

The wave finally started growing and I finally stopped and waited as it kept growing coming at me. I turned around and started running back to in the direction of the shore. I started getting higher in the and I held onto the water as the wave went higher, and just before the top of the wave started folding I let go and slid down the wave. 

I heard cheering coming from the shore, as I rode the wave.

"Do a flip!" I heard Kiri call out and I let the wave carry me up to the top and did a back flip off the top of the wave. I broke the top of the water and and pulled myself out of it again and ran back to the shore.

"So?" I asked Bakugo after I made it back, and I was a little out of breath from running.

"Yeah yeah, it was pretty cool." Bakugo said and we all laughed. I grabbed my towel and wrapped it around my shoulders, and took a deep breath. When I released the breath I felt a small pain in my chest and I let my smile fall, and I felt sudden numbness.

"Hey how about we go get some food?" Kiri asked me and wrapped his arm around my shoulders. He had a look on his face, and I knew he saw what just happened. 

"Yeah, I'm starving." I said and put a smile on my face.

"Can we play beach volleyball?" Mina asked after we walked out of the restaurant. 

"That sounds like fun." Denki said and I got dragged down to the sand again. "I call girls against guys!"

"You're going down y/n!" Kiri told me and Bakugo came over with a volleyball. 

"Oh and here I thought we were friends." I said, and Mina got ready in the front.

"Not anymore!" Mina called, and I think she was getting too excited. And we started playing. 

It got to the last point and Bakugo spiked it over the net towards the side. I was able to dive and save it, and Mina got it over the net while the boys were distracted on thinking they had won.

"Yeah! Suck it!" Mina yelled at them and did a crotch chop. I laughed and got off the ground and took a deep breath. I felt the same twinge of pain in my chest and I felt my smile fall again. I grabbed my t-shirt out of my bag and walked up to Mina.

"Hey, I'm going to go for a walk." I told her and slipped my shirt over my head. "Will you watch my stuff?"

"Yeah, sure thing." She said and rubbed my arm. "Everything okay?"

"Yeah." I said and nodded. "I think I just need a social break."

"Okay, I get that." She said and smiled. "We'll be around here somewhere. Text us if you need us."

"I will." I told her and walked up towards the boardwalk, leaving everyone on the beach.
