"Is this my new bestie?" A girl asked.
"How powerful you are." The first guy said, admiring me and ignoring the girl. "I'd offer you my hand, but it looks like you have your hands full."
"I'd say it's nice to see you again Dabi, but that'd be a joke. In more than one way." I said laughing, I focused on my class and could see that almost everyone was off the bridge. "Back up." I demanded as one of them started walking towards me.
"Oh but if you think you're not coming with us, you really are stupid." The first guy said.
"You're saying that to someone who's dangling between two pieces of bridge." I said. "I'm already pretty stupid. But, I can still drop you faster than any of you can drop your jaw."
"Drop my jaw, at what?" He asked me, and he crouched next to me.
"This." I said and swung my leg up and kicked the road and a large chunk of road shot out and over me, punching him square in the face and sent him flying back. And I was right, their jaws dropped.
"Y/n!" I heard come from the other side of the bridge, they were coming back towards me. But I couldn't hold the bridge much longer.
"Get off the bridge!" I yelled to them, and the guy I hit in the face was getting up.
"We've gone through a lot of trouble to get to you. And we will continue to follow you until we get you." He told me.
"Well, if you think you're getting me today, then you're stupider than me." I then let go of their side if the bridge and the vulnerable side of the bridge started dropping.
I managed to pull myself on to the road, and I had a chance to make it to safety before it collapsed completely.
I used everything in me to run towards the other side.
"Y/n!" I heard my classmates yelling, and they were trying to reach me. But where they were, they were going to be safe.
I ran and ran, dodging cars that were sliding passed me as the bridge collapsed around me. I ran until there was a large crack that split under my foot, causing me to trip. I pulled myself up and kept running, but I wasn't going to make it.
"Idiot jump!" I heard Bakugo scream, but I couldn't see him. But when my foot hit the edge of the piece of road I was running on, I jumped.
And for a brief moment, I felt Bakugo's fingertips brush mine.
But it wasn't enough to grab, to hold. But it was enough to see.
I saw through him, and I could see everyone was safe. The bridge wasn't going to collapse anymore, and everyone was going to be okay.
Everyone but me. I felt nothing but air, spinning and twirling me however it pleased. I closed my eyes, and I could only imagine what it looked like to fall.
I've heard that orange is the prettiest color for a sunset. Even though it was still the middle of the day, but I didn't know what the sky looked like. So it could look however I wanted it to. I want it to be orange, with mixes of pink and yellow. And fluffy white clouds with stars freckling the sky.
That sounded just perfect, with the shape of a city in front of it.
Perfect.
