"Alright everyone sit down." Mr. Aizawa told everyone as he got the movie in.
"I don't understand why we have to do this." Bakugo grouched.
"Oh come on Bakugo, there's nothing wrong with watching a movie." Todoroki said. I laughed as they started arguing, and eventually they shut up for the movie.
We were about halfway through the movie when I looked around at everyone. I wanted to take their faces in.
A few like Bakugo were aggravated that they had to be here right now. While others were completely bored out of their minds. Me also being one of them.
This is not what I wanted.
I looked passed everyone and out one of the windows in the commons room. It was absolutely down pouring outside.
I got up and walked towards the window stepping over people as needed.
I walked up to the window and looked out at the open lawn. There was at least three different lake puddles outside, and the sidewalks looked more like sandbars.
What fun.
"Y/n are you alright?" Mr. Aizawa asked me. But I didn't answer him. I just stared out at the water constantly being disrupted by the new water droplets coming down. "Y/n?"
I turned and looked to see everyone staring at me. They had stopped the movie.
I smiled before walking towards the front door. When I was a couple of feet away I kicked my shoes off, along with my socks, and took my jacket off.
I threw them to the ground and ran outside.
I could hear everyone from my class calling out for me, wondering what I was doing. I was doing the same thing.
I stepped down the steps and out into the wide open rain. The water on the ground easily covered my feet and I walked out for a bit with my arms out side, staring up at the sky.
I spun around in a couple of circles and took in the feeling of the rain in my skin.
It was cold. But I had never felt something so heart warming.
I stood still and let the rain complete soak me, head to toe. I smiled and couldn't help but laugh. I spun around in circles and jumped in a giant puddle.
I heard some laughter behind me and saw Denki, Tsuyu, Mina, Ojiro, Uraraka pulling on Iida and Midoriya, and Kirishima pulling Bakugo to come join me in the rain. We started jumping and splashing around with me. And it only took a minute before the rest of the class came running out to us.
Water was being splashed everywhere. I stopped and took in the people around me.
The boys were tackling or wrestling each other into the lakes, while some of the girls were doing some Tiktok dance's that was causing a lot of splash. Either way the water forcefully being thrown into the air, was so beautiful.
This is what I wanted.
Smiling happy faces. Laughter. Joy.
Some things that a lot of us didn't know we needed since joining UA. Since we've joined UA, we've been so busy with tests, pulling all nighters, fighting villains, training . . . . . and treatments.
We've forgotten what it's like to be a kid. And that's what we are. Kids.
I'm a kid. And wont even get to see graduation. And that's okay.
I laid down right where I was on the sidewalk and looked back up at the sky. Listening to the sound of laughter all around me. The feeling of the sky raining down on me was so calming, so peaceful.
