I sat in my seat in class and wasn't even paying attention to it. I had my head resting in my hand, but I couldn't take my eyes off of Sero's desk. He wasn't here today because of the competition. He's supposed to go on stage in a half hour.

That was until I felt a buzz in my pocket. I didn't really care if I got yelled at about my phone being out during class, and pulled it out of my pocket.

I had gotten a text message from Gabby. I hadn't talked to her since yesterday when I turned my phone off. I had turned it back on later last night to see she had blown my phone up with words of encouragement that this was going to get figured out.

'Maria ditched.'

Gabby's text read. And my heart stopped.

I looked up from my phone, and I didn't know what to think or do.

"Y/n, are you alright?" Mr. Aizawa asked and pulled me out of a trance. I looked up at him, and he had stopped the lesson. Everyone was looking at me.

I looked back down at my phone, and read the text over and over again.

"I have to go." I said quietly.

"What was that?" Mr. Aizawa asked.

"I have to go!" I yelled and shot out of my seat and used everything I had in me to run out of the school and started heading into the city.

The competition was all the way across town, even if I could drive I don't know if I could make it in time. But I had no other choice but to run.

And I ran faster than my legs wanted to give me. But I couldn't give up now. I gave in already and I hurt Sero. I wasn't giving up so easily this time.

I ran and ran, yelling for people to move out of my way as I raced down the sidewalk. My twisted ankle was still sore with every beat it made into the cement below my feet, but I couldn't let it stop me.

I'm not going to let anything stop me.

I ran towards an open street, and there was a large crowd of people waiting for the light to change so they could walk. But I didn't have time to wait.

"Move out of the way!" I yelled and they all moved out of the way as I ran into the street. I looked and saw a car coming right at me. It was going to cross in front of me, but I didn't have time to lose my momentum. I put my hand out and placed my hand down of the hood of the car as I jumped over the top of it.

I landed on my feet and kept running. People saw me coming and moved out of the way.

And I ran until I reached the dance studio where the competition was being held. I busted through door after door, until I got to the auditorium. I pushed the doors open and I looked around until I saw a group of people. They saw me too, and only one of them was happy to see me.

Gabby ran ahead of her family and grabbed me before the rest of the Sero's could get me. She pulled me through another door and dragged me backstage.

"How the hell did you get here so fast?" She asked me as she pulled me all the way towards the back and down a hallway.

"I ran." I told her, completely out of breath.

"You ran across the entire city in twenty minutes?" She asked me as she went to open a door, but it was locked. She started banging on the door with her fist. The door had 'Hanta Sero' written on it.

Gabby banged on the door until it opened, and Sero stood there with tears in his eyes. Gabby pushed Sero out of the way, and pulled me into the room.

"Y/n, what are you doing here?" He asked me.

"Pendejo, clean yourself up you're on in ten minutes." Gabby told him. He was wearing black eyeliner, and it had smeared down his face from crying.

"Gabby wait." I said and turned back to Hanta.

I had to tell him.

"Hanta, I'm so sorry! Tony approached me at the club and told me that I had to stay away from you, cause if I didn't he was going to get you kicked out of school, and have your family kicked out on the street! So I did everything I could to avoid you, cause I didn't want you and your family to get hurt. But I only ended up hurting you more. . . . ."

I took a moment to do some deep breathing and I held my finger up before he could say anything because I didn't want him to say anything until I got it all out.

"And I lied!" I continued. "Everything I said yesterday was a lie! I love dancing with you, and I want to be around you more! Hell I really want to be with you, romantically! I love the way you look at me. I love the way you dance with me. I even love you're family, they don't like me too much right now, and I'm probably going to get the chancla of death when your mother gets a hold of me. But I don't really care at the moment, because I love you and I'm here for you, and I want to dance with you for your competition!"

I took a couple of deep breaths, and Hanta didn't say anything.

"And there's more to it but right now I don't have the air capacity to be able to keep going." I told him and bent over, trying to catch my breath.

"You don't know the steps." Hanta said, and I looked up at him laughing while I was still bent over.

"If I didn't know the steps do you really think I would have ran all the way across town to get here?" I asked him.

"You ran?" He asked me, and gave me the same terrified look his sister did.

"Twenty minutes baby!" I said and gave him a thumbs up. "I almost got ran over in the process."

"Okay, I hate to ruin this therapeutic moment." Gabby said. "But you're on in seven minutes."

"Hanta, I know the routine." I told him. "I can do this if you'll let me."

"Yes." He said after taking a deep breath.

"Great!" Gabby said and threw clothes at me. "Get dressed." She told me and I immediately started taking my school uniform off. I didn't care that there wasn't a changing wall, and started jumping in the pants.

"Why are these so god damn tight?" I asked and finally got them on. Gabby was currently fixing Hanta's eyeliner, and he was staring at me half naked in the mirror.

"Hanta, don't be a perv." His sister told him as she reapplied his eyeliner.

I took the shirt and slipped it over my head. It was the same type of shirt that I had worn when I went to the club, except that it was a golden color to match Hanta's dress shirt and vest.

He was wearing a black dress shirt with the sleeve's rolled up to his elbows. Black pants and dance shoes. And then a black and gold dress vest. He looked really good.

I sat down in the makeup chair and started clipping the heels on my feet, as Gabby started brushing my hair back and putting it into a bun. After she was done with that she started doing my makeup, just like the other night.

Hanta grabbed my hand while Gabby was working her magic.

"I'm really glad you're here." He told me and held my hand while Gabby kept working.
