I laid in bed in the dark staring at my ceiling. I looked to my side and Fear laid next to me. She smiled at me, but I didn't return it. She reached her hand up and rubbed my cheek. Even though I couldn't feel it, it was a nice thought.

She sat up and gave me a look.

"No." I told her, and she thumped the bed with her hands, like an upset rabbit. While I was still going through my depressive episode, none of my emotions could talk to me. It was the one time my mind was silent. "I'm not going over there." I told her and she started throwing a silent tantrum like a child.

It was always nice when my emotions hung out with me during times like this. When they couldn't speak or make me feel them, they would still hang around to keep me company. Reminding me that I wasn't alone.

And that's what Fear was trying to get me to see. I sighed and sat up.

"If I go over there, will you stop throwing a tantrum and let me sleep?" I asked her and she nodded. I rolled my eyes and threw my blanket off of me and got out of bed. She flowed like water out my door and next door to Kiri's room. I knocked on the door lightly, and after a minute the door opened.

"Y/n, you okay?" He asked answering the door, rubbing his eye.

"I'm sorry did I wake you?" I asked him.

"No, no you're fine. I was getting ready to sleep though." He said. "What's up?"

"Can I stay with you for a bit?" I asked him, and he smiled.

"Sure thing." He said and moved out of the way so I could walk in. When I entered his room there standing in the corner was the shadowed figure.

'Why does it always pop up at the most random times?'

I complained in my head, and looked away from it.

I went to lay on the floor, but before I could Kiri wrapped his arms around me and picked me up.

"Oh, no you don't." He told me and slammed me into the bed. I laughed and laid on my back in the bed as Kiri snuggled down next to me. We laid there in silence for a few minutes, and I stared at his ceiling.

"Can I tell you a secret?" I asked him, and started playing with my bracelet.

"Of course." He said.

"You know how I said that when I bend the earth, that my emotions get blended?" I started.

"Yeah." He said and sat up enough to put his head in his hand.

"Well that's not entirely true." I said. "I know that it's one emotion. But I just don't know what it is."

"What does it feel like?" He asked me and I handed him a figurine of a hedgehog, and he played with it a bit.

"I don't know." I said. "I get this tight feeling in my chest, and I'm scared."

"Scared cause of the emotion or because you don't know what it is?" He asked and looked at me.

"I don't know, I think I'm scared because I don't know what I'm feeling." I said.

"Do you see it, like your other emotions?" He asked me and I nodded. "What does it look like?"

"I don't know that either." I said, and Kiri looked confused. I couldn't blame him. "When I see it, it's a shadow. It doesn't say anything, it doesn't do anything. It just appears at random ass times."

"Do you see it often?" He asked and I started making a different animal with my bracelet.

"Lately, yeah." I said.

"Do you know why it shows up? What triggers it or something?" Kiri questioned and I looked at the figure in the corner.

"No." I said and let my head fall back onto the pillow.

"Wait you can see it right now?" He asked, and looked to where I just looked.

"Yeah. It was in here before I walked in." I told him, and he looked at me with a worried look on his face.

"Was it watching me?" He asked, and I could tell he was uncomfortable. I laughed at him and rolled onto my side towards him.

"They're my emotions, they only watch me." I told him. "I think anyway."

"That's not comforting." He said and I laughed a little more.

"Well now you know how I feel." I told him. "We should probably sleep. I'll go back to my room." I started getting out of his bed, until his hand wrapped around my wrist.

"No." He told me, and I could see that his face was a little red. "You can stay here if you want."

"Jesus Chirst, would you idiots just sleep!" We heard from the other side of the wall. It was Bakugo screaming at us from his room. I cover my mouth, and laughed into it before laying back down.

"Whoops." I said and Kiri laid down too. I watched Kiri as he laid down too, and closed his eyes. After a couple of minutes he opened his eyes and looked at me.

"What?" He laughed. I smiled and scooted closer to him and hugged him.

"Thank you." I whispered to him, and he wrapped his arms around me.

"You're welcome." He told me and just by the tight feeling in my chest, I could tell that the shadow was right next to bed. I closed my eyes, and hugged Kiri a little tighter.
