After I was done using the bathroom, I washed my hands and had to use my pants to dry my them as I walked out of the bathroom. Looking at the dancefloor, it was almost like there was twice as many people in the club than a couple of minutes ago.
I started trying to make my way back to the bar, when I felt a pair of hands on my hips.
"My dear, I have an offer and you're going to want to listen." Someone said in my ear, and I turned around to see Tony. Before I could push him off of me, he wrapped his arms around my body and held me where I was.
"Let me go." I told him.
"Now, I'm only going to give you this offer once, so you better listen." He told me, forcing me to sway back and forth with him. "You are going to stay away from your little boyfriend, until after the competition. Meaning you're going to grab your stuff, and head back to the school after this little conversation is over."
"And I would listen to you why?" I asked him.
"Because if you don't listen to what I have to say, your little boyfriend and his family will be homeless by the time the sun rises." Tony told me, and I flinched. "You're going to avoid Sero. Do everything you can to not speak to him. And if he catches you, you are not to say a word to him."
"What?" I asked him.
"And don't worry my dear, I will be watching you in school." He told me, and looked me up and down. "It'll be a good show."
"Why should I do as you say?" I asked him.
"My father owns the bank that his family goes through. That goes for their car loans, mortgage . . . . school loans." Tony said, taking a moment to emphasize about the school loans. Sero's schooling. "And it'd be a shame if I saw you speaking to him, and his families accounts and such were just suddenly terminated."
I felt my face, my stomach, and even my heart drop. He was threatening everything Sero and his family had.
"You can't do that." I said.
"Oh but I can." He said with a giant smile. A smile that was way too confident. "So, this offer is going once."
I looked through the crowd over towards the bar. And through the crowd of people I could see Sero.
"Going twice."
Sero had the happiest look on his face as he was smiling at Gabby who had joined him at the bar. And I watched as Carlos wrapped an arm around his little brother. He ruffled Sero's hair and due to us sweating it ended up sticking out every which way.
"Going three times."
Sero was so happy.
"Fine." I said before Tony could say anything else. He let go of my body and held my face in his hand.
"Pleasure doing business with you my dear." He told me, and I thought that he was going to be an absolute dick and kiss me. But he didn't, he just pushed me into the crowd.
I looked back over towards the bar, and Sero was still talking to his siblings. This was my only opprotunity to leave.
I rushed out of the club as fast as possible. And speed walked down the street. I retraced my steps from earlier with Sero and made it back to the house.
I opened the front door, and quickly rushed up the stairs as fast as I could dispite my twisted ankle.
"Y/n?" I heard from the living room, but I didn't listen to it as I quickly ran into Sero's room and packed all of my stuff.
"Is everything alright dear?" I heard Sero's mother asked as she came into the room.
"No." I told her. "I have to go, but thank you for having me over. I had a really nice time."
"Did something happen at the club?" She asked me, and I turned to look at her and she was holding the baby. "Did Hanta do something? Did Carlos do something? I swear to Christ-!"
"No they didn't do anything." I told her and zipped my bag shut. "I just have to leave." I put it over my shoulder, but before I left the room I took a moment to hug both her and the baby. "Please tell Hanta I'm sorry."
And before she could say anything I rushed down the stairs and back out the door. It was extremely late at night, and the streets were completely empty.
I made my way to the train station, and bought myself a ticket home. I got lucky as there was a train coming in only a couple of minutes.
I sat down on a bench and held my face in my hands. I tried not to let myself cry, as I heard the trains horn blow as it pulled up to the station.
I walked over to step on, when there was a sudden hand on my wrist. I turned to see Carlos holding onto me.
"Princesa what's going on?" He asked me. "My mother called me and said you just suddenly rushed in the house and then rushed right back out. What's going on?"
"Is Hanta with you?" I asked and looked around hoping I could at least see him before I left.
"No he's back at the house." Carlos told me. "What's going on?"
"I have to stay away from Hanta." I told him.
"What why?" He asked me. "Did he do something to you?"
"No." I said and shook my head. "Do you know Tony?"
"Tony?" He asked. "The dickhead Hanta's going up against in the competition?" I nodded to him. "What about him?"
"He threated to get your whole family kicked out of your house, and get Hanta pulled out of UA." I told him.
"What?" Carlos said. "He can't do that."
"Apparently he can." I said, and I felt the tears rolling down my face. "His dad owns your family's bank. He said he could have you guys homeless before the sun was up if I didn't agree to stay away from him until after the competition."
"For what?" Carlos asked.
"I don't know." I said. "But I wasn't about to risk your whole family, because I didn't believe him."
"And Princesa I appreciate that, but we have no idea if he's telling the truth." Carlos said, and I know how crazy it sounds.
"He didn't look like he was lying." I told him. The train horn blew, and I pulled my arm away from Carlos. "Please don't tell Hanta. Just tell him I don't want to see him."
And before he could say anything else I stepped into the car and the doors closed between us.
I turned to go find a seat, when there was a sudden bang on the door. I turned and saw Hanta was at the trains doors. He was trying to open them, but it was too late. The train was already moving.
He chased after the train, and pointed at his phone, before he couldn't keep up with the train anymore. He wanted me to call him or text him, what was happening. But I couldn't.
I put my face in my hands, yet again. But this time I didn't fight against crying. I just let the tears fall.
