My Hero Acadamia Short Stories (Volume 1)

Shift: Part 14 (Shinsou)

I ran down a road of an abandoned street, and I sniffed around the air. I ran toward what looked like a warehouse. I turned back into my human form and crept up to the side of the building and heard a small noise behind me. I whipped around ready to throw a punch, but Hawks caught my wrist and held a finger to his lips.

"So what's going on?" He whispered.

"My brother's attacked Bakugo and Kiri." I told him. "Kiri was able to get away, but they got Bakugo."

"And you tracked them here?" He asked and looked around.

"Yeah." I whispered back and crept along the side of the warehouse, to a small hole in the ground next to the warehouse. I turned back into my wolf form and started digging as fast and quiet as possible. Once the hole was big enough I changed back and crawled under the bottom of the wall and into the warehouse. Hawks followed me carefully. I peaked around some boxes, and saw Bakugo unconscious strapped to a table.

"This is definitely a trap." Hawks said in my ear, as we saw no one else was around.

"Not just a normal trap." I said, and looked at the ground and saw the ground was slightly disturbed. "It's a spiders trap." I sniffed the air. And it smelled of webs and silk.

"Spider?" Hawks asked.

"Before I escaped Father was working on making other serums." I told him. "He wants me to be able to transform into a wolf, spider, and others that I don't know of yet."

"And he succeeded in making the spider one?" Hawks asked.

"Smells like it." I said and looked around me. "Stay here." I told him and climbed the boxes careful not to make noise.

I climbed up to the second floor area and walked over till I was closer to Bakugo. There was a banister that went right over Bakugo and I carefully walked out on it. I grew my tail out and wrapped it around the banister before carefully falling off the edge so I was hanging upside down by my tail.

Bakugo started stirring and I could tell he was about to wake up. I let my arms hang and let go of the banister with my tail and landed on my hands on either side of Bakugo's head and I was doing a handstand. Although my hands hitting the table didn't make much noise, it made enough to wake Bakugo.

"Y/n?" He said quietly." I crouched over him and put my hand to his mouth. I then made a gesture, to ask if he had been given any serum at all. He shook his head no and I sighed in relief. I changed one of my nails into a claw and started sawing at the strap that was holding him in place. Once I got him cut lose, Bakugo sat up and one of the straps fell and made a loud 'clang' noise.

We both froze in place and I looked at the ground, and watched as if a hatch was lifted up slightly to peak at what had made the noise. I grabbed Bakugo and used our weight to flip the table and use it to stop one of my brothers from tackling us as he came out of his hiding place in the ground. Bakugo wrapped an arm around me and used his other hand to cause and explosion making the table go forward and crush my brother into the wall, and when went backwards through the doors and into the road.

"Well, well." A voice said and I froze. "Looks like my precious little girl has made some friends." I looked and saw Father standing there with my other four brothers transformed into different animals behind him. A wolf, jaguar, snake, and an eagle. Hawks flew forward got inforng of both me and Bakugo. But I grabbed the back of his jacket and pulled him behind me along with Bakugo.

"Leave me alone." I told him, and started pushing them back and away from Father and my brothers.

"Oh now you know I can't do that my precious girl." He told me. "You're too valuable to me. I miss playing with you."

"She's not some toy." Bakugo said from behind me, and as much as I wanted to look at him out of surprise, I couldn't look away from Father.

"Oh but she is, my toy." He said.

"Hawks." I whispered. "Take Bakugo back to the school."

"What about you?" He whispered back to me.

"They want me." I said. "I can lose them, I'll meet you there."

"Are you sure you can do that?" Bakugo asked.

"I'm not going to let him take me back." I said. "I won't go through all of that again."

"Be careful kid." Hawks said and threw a bunch of his feather at them before taking off into the sky and with the distraction of the feathers gave me a head start.

I took off back down the road, in my wolf form and ran hard. I ran for a couple of minutes, before I got shoved down into the ground. I looked up and saw my brother that was an eagle had smashed me into the ground.

I picked myself back up and with his talons still in my back I ran before jumping and spinning around and slamming my back into the ground hard with my brother under me. The impact made him let go of me, and when I rolled back over onto my feet I bit down his wing and ripped it off.

I ran as I heard my brother screeching out. I left him and ran away as another one of my brother caught up to me. It was my wolf brother. He ran up besides me.

"I beat your ass once, and I'll do it again." I told him.

"I'd like to see you-." He started to say, but I jumped to the side and tackled him to the ground before throwing him into some abandoned buildings, where it crashed down on top of him.

"S~ister, why do you do this~?" A voice said and my snake brother hissed out as he tackled me to the ground and began squeezing me. I transformed back into my human form and was so small I slid out of his grip. I transformed into a half wolf beast and used my hands to pick him up before biting into the middle of his body and tearing a chunk of his body out and ripping him in half. I dropped him and changed fully into a wolf and kept running.

I heard a loud growl and looked over my head to see my jaguar brother running on the roof tops and jumped down. I stopped running and just barely stopped in time to miss him trying to tackle me. I kept running past him as he struggled to get his footing again. My wolf brother joined him in chasing me again.

I looked up ahead of me and there was a bridge. And it was lifting up into the air.

'This is going to be close.'

I thought and put everything I had into my legs. I ran as fast as I could up the bridge and when i got to the space at the top, I launched myself towards the other side and turned back into my human form. Only to barely be able to grab onto the ledge.

I heard a howl and snarl from behind me, and I watched as my wolf and jaguar brothers tried to jump as well. But the space was too great now and they didn't have the power to make the jump. But it was too late and they both fell down towards the water, and hit it hard.

I pulled myself up over the edge and turned myself back into a wolf, and ran home.
