Castiel was the best thing that had happened to you. You met him after he brought Dean back. You looked at him once and your eyes widened in awe. You loved him with everything you had.
That day you had decided to tell him how you felt. Charlie had been hyping you up for it all night. Quickly you got dressed trying to get a little more dressy than normal. Nothing too extreme though.

You finally sat down on your bed and took a deep breath talking yourself up before walking towards the door. Before you reached it a knock sounded out. Surprise crossed your face as you opened it to see Castiel. "Oh, uh, hey Cas. I was just gonna find you. What's up?" You asked keeping your voice as level as you could.
Cas walked in and sat on your bed as you closed the door. "(Y/n), I need to talk to you." He said, his face straight. "Well. I-I actually have to talk to you also.." he sent you a curious look and nodded his head as if silently telling you to continue.
"Ok, well Cas I was coming to find you because.. I've been holding this back for a long time now.. I love you Castiel. I really love you." You said letting out a breath you didn't realize you were holding. You looked at him with hopeful eyes but fear still lingered behind them. Castiel looked at you with sadness. You knew immediately that you messed up.
You felt your heart drop to your stomach as you awaited his voice to ring out. "(Y/n), I'm sorry. I don't want to hurt you, but I only see you as family. I love you in that way but none other. I'm sorry." He said getting up and grabbing your hands. You let him take your shaking hands and you kept a strong face though your eyes began to betray you.
"It's ok Castiel I understand. Umm what is it that you were going to tell me." You said pulling away from him turning around to wipe your tearing up eyes.
"I was just going to tell you that Sam and Dean found a case and want you to stay back." You whipped your head around. "What?! Why?!" You question quickly. They never left you behind. "They just think it's the best idea this time. I'm sorry (y/n). I'm going as well. We'll see you when we get back." He said. Walking for the door he tried to pull you into a hug but you pulled away quickly. "I really am sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you." He said before walking out.
You closed the door behind him and finally let yourself cry. Your heart just cracked, and you had no clue that it could've done that anymore but it did.
"I should've known he wouldn't love me.. should've known.." you mumbled to yourself before lying on your bed, just ready to go to sleep and hopefully wake up from the mess that was created.
