They all sat in conversation, laughing on occasion. Trading secrets which varied from pretty dark to incredibly silly. As it got later they all decided to call it a night and separate.
"So, where are you guys staying?" Sam asked politely. Deanna and Samantha glanced at each other "Oh, we're just staying in that motel up the street. I mean it's pretty disgusting but we've dealt with worse. How about you guys?" Deanna responded.
Samantha shifted her weight from one foot to the other out of habit, just as Sam had done moments before.
"We have this place a few miles from here. It's like a bunker, it used to be for the men of letters. When we found it, it was completely abandoned. We decided that having a place to stay would be nicer than moving around all the time." Dean answered with a shrug.
Deanna's eyes widened "The men of letters? Are you serious?" she asked excitedly. "Yeah completely serious." Sam said. "I didn't know if they were real or not. I've heard of them but-Wow I had no clue if it was true." Deanna said. Her eyebrows knitted together in curiosity, and she stood up straighter.
"They're most definitely real. So whoever you've been hearing from is correct." Sam said while crossing his arms. "Well that's pretty damn cool, you have a permanent place for yourselves. Also, I'm gonna take a wild guess. That 67' Impala out there is yours too?" Deanna questioned with a quirked eyebrow, and a finger pointed out the window.
Dean nodded with pride, "Yup, that's my Baby. She's gone through more shit than we have. Having to drive us all over the country, and almost getting wrecked, god knows how many times." Dean said.
Samantha chuckled at his pride, and spoke up. "You really are just like my sister. Taking pride in a car." she huffed.
Dean's head snapped in her direction and his face was slightly red. "Hey, hey, hey. She's not just a car alright? She's a beautiful work of art who happens to carry our sorry asses around." Dean said. His face was stern and his finger wagged in Samantha's face.
"That's what I constantly tell her about Delores (if you understand the homage i love you) We wouldn't be here if she hadn't hauled ass out of shitty situations before we could potentially get arrested or even killed." Deanna's eyes were wide and her voice strained slightly from the passion of her small rant. She pointed out the window at the car directly across the parking lot, a deep red 67' impala. "You know this whole being similar thing is getting way too real for me." Samantha said and shook her head.
The four walk outside, and immediately Deanna and Dean start up a conversation about the two cars. The talk eventually ended up with them quickly going to take a look at each.
Sam, and Samantha rolled their eyes at the two, and began to converse about how they got into hunting. Samantha explained how she actually wanted to make something of herself by going to college and getting a degree in criminology. She explained that she never got the chance to do that because her Mother would never allow it. Their mother kept them close making sure they didn't fall off the bandwagon. She didn't want them to walk out on "their purpose"
Sam told her about how he just left and was making something of himself. Going to Stanford, having a good future ahead of him until his dad went missing and he was forced back into that life. Seeing his girlfriend die in the same his mother did he was determined to find and kill whoever/whatever killed them. He eventually did and here he was with his brother years later and still going.
They both sympathized with each other as his brother and her sister went on and on about different stories about the cars and just their lives in general. The night continued to go on, and they continued to bond despite the cold night settling in.
"Well boys I do believe our little party is coming to its end, we had better go before they kick us out of our room." Deanna said.
"You guys have our numbers right?" Sam asked. Both Sam and Dean nodded.
"Well goodnight guys it was incredibly strange and weirdly pleasant to meet you two. Hopefully we'll talk again soon." Samantha said before the girls turned to walk back to their car.
Sam and Dean gave each other glances and tried to decide quickly if they should call the girls back and tell them to stay with them. Sam gave in and called out "Hey! Wait up." the girls stopped in their tracks and swiveled back in the boys direction. Samantha's head tilted in confusion. Deanna's eyebrows furrowed for what seemed like the millionth time that night. "What's up?" she inquired.
"Why don't you guys come crash with us. We have plenty of room and it's much better than some rat infested janky ass motel." Dean voiced. The girls laughed and nodded.
"Only if you guys are sure, we don't want to intrude." Samantha replied.
"It's no trouble it'll be nice to have some company." Dean insisted.
Samantha and Deanna nodded their heads in agreement. "We' ll obviously have to follow you guys so if you don't mind coming to the motel so we can grab out stuff that would be nice." Samantha said.
"Yeah of course, let's go." Sam said as he and Dean opened the car doors and started the engine, just as Samantha and Deanna did.
The sound of classic rock sounded through both vehicles and you could faintly hear it through the windows. Deanna and Dean drove next to each other and stopped at the light hearing the music playing. They looked at each other with knowing smiles and nods. While Sam and Samantha smiled at their siblings and each other shaking their heads.
They knew things would be different now but they didn't mind. Maybe things would get better. Four is better than two right?
