They Reject You-Jack

Jack:
When it came to Jack you were reserved. It's not that you were scared of him. It was more like you really liked him but were super shy and nervous. 

Castiel had just come back and you were thrilled. You were closest to him. You told Cas everything. He was there when you couldn't hold back anymore and would break down. He was there when you were excited about something and just needed someone to talk with. 

He was there when you needed someone to to tell about your feelings for the nephilim. 

"Cas, I don't know what to do. I can't talk to him, I just can't." You stress to the Angel. He was sitting on your bed while you paced. 

"(Y/n), I think it's best if you tell him. It would be better than never knowing." He stated. You turned toward him, anxiousness exuding from you. 
"I guess you're right Cas... in this life we don't have forever..." you said taking a deep breath. Cas nodded at you "will you stay here Cas? please. Just in case." you ask shyly. He gives you a nod "of course (y/n)." 
You give him a smile before walking out the door. 

You knocked on Jack's door and shifted your weight playing with the hem of your shirt. You're about to walk, becoming too nervous. Then a  shuffling is heard from behind the door and the door opened. There Jack stood with a smile. 
"Hello (y/n)." He chirps. You give a tight-lipped smile. "Can we talk Jack?" You ask. He looks at you in a bout of concern. "Of course, what's wrong. Are you hurt?" He inquired. 

You mumbled under your breath "that depends on how this goes..." 

He sat down and patted the spot next to him. You shook your head, "I'd rather stand." you say and begin shuffling your feet. 

"Jack, I'm just going to say it." You said and closed your eyes. "Jack I love you." You said quickly. You open your eyes and see him smiling. Your hopes get so high and so you smile brightly too. "I love you too (y/n), you're my best friend." He cheerfully declared. 

Your heart shattered right then and there. Your eyes got cloudy and you tried to force the tears back. 

"Um, actually Jack. I'm in love with you. It's romantic for me... but I understand you don't love me that way." Your voice broke. 

Jack's eyes widened in surprise. He could feel his heart break, because he didn't know what you meant. "Oh I- I didn't know. (y/n), I'm sorry. I just don't think I could ever love you that way. I couldn't see it happening." He said. He didn't mean to sound harsh, and in all honesty he could have said worse. Yet you were so hurt by it. 

A tear slipped own your face and you tried your best to cover it. 

"Yeah, it's ok Jack. It's fine." You said wiping your hands on jeans. He got up and walked towards you but you took a step back. "Um I'm just gonna go now..." you say before stepping out of the room and hurrying back to yours. 

Castiel opened the door, knowing what happened seeing as he could hear your thoughts. He pulled you into his arms. 
You clung to his trench coat "Cas, I really didn't think it would hurt this bad. Why does it hurt so bad?" You asked practically begging the Angel for a reason. 

"Love isn't easy. But unrequited love is a whole new world of questions and brokenness. I know you're hurt, but things will be ok." He said holding you tighter as you cried. He closed the door and picked you up, setting you onto the bed. He sat on the other side letting you curl up to him. He ran his hands through your hair, and stayed there with you until you fell asleep. 

He was there for you because you weren't just a friend, you were his little sister.
