Cas:
You had been in your room all day, music playing softly. Sam and Dean were not concerned knowing you, they understand that some days you just need time to yourself.
You were listening very intently to lyrics today. Occasionally crying when they really hit you.
You were lying on your bed when This Year's Love by David Grey began to play. That song really hits you. You closed your eyes and sat in silence as his voice resonated around the room.
You hummed along with him and took a shaky breath at the end.
It made you think of Castiel. How much you wanted it to last after having so many things fall apart. You wanted him, you wanted it to last.
"This years love had better last
Heaven knows it's high time
I've been waiting on my own too long
And when you hold me like you do
It feels so right oh now."
The next song that came on was luckily a happier one, one you could dance around to. Yes you danced around in your room to music, just because you're not a teenager and your dating an angel doesn't mean you can't have fun.
"We carved our love in the mountain side
We soaked our hearts in the rain
And I waited my whole life
FOR YOOOOUUU!!!!!!"
You stood on your bed and sang as loud as you could holding the note with him.
Sam passed by your door and heard the music he called Dean from down the hall and he got there right in time to hear that note from you. They both chuckled and shook their heads. "That girl's got some heart doesn't she?" Dean suggested and Sam nodded before laughing. They both dispersed and left you to it.
"So take me to the paradise
It's in your eyes
Green like American money
You taste just right
Sweet like Tennessee honey.
And we can run away
Swimming in the sunlight everyday
Paradise It's
Yeah it's in your eyes
Green like American money."
You sang.
Your eyes were closed as the song came to an end. When all of a sudden a hand was placed on your shoulder.
You jumped and let out a gasp quickly turning on your heels. There stood Castiel that oh so adorable confused face and tilted head.
"I didn't mean to scare you (y/n). I just thought I would check on you. But you seem to be busy so I'll come back later." He said, but before he could go you spoke up. "No, Cas you don't have to go. I want you here please." You sounded shy.
"Oh ok, I will stay then." He said and stood there awkwardly. You chuckled at his awkwardness.
"You know you can sit down babe?" You suggested before gesturing toward the bed. He went to sit down but before he could you grabbed his hand and shoved your hairbrush into it. "What are you doing?" He asked, even more confused than before. "Will you sing with me?" You asked with a fake posh accent.
"Um well do I have a choice?" He asked.
"No not really so come on." You said and turned the music up.
"So Cas, what you're going to do is use the brush as a microphone. Put it up to your mouth and sing. You can dance around if you're comfortable. It'll be fun I promise!" You explained to him picking up a nearby water bottle.
"Ok babe we're gonna sing Dean's favorite song. It's called 'Shake It Off' it's one of the best songs to dance around to. Ok!" You explained.
"Ok, so I just sing into the hairbrush?" He asked. "Exactly. You can dance with me if you want." You said a smile across your face. He smiled back and nodded. "I'd like that." You grabbed his hand and pulled him closer.
The song began to play and you sang loudly
"I stay out too late!
Got nothin' in my brain
That's what people say
That's what people say!"
You spun around while holding his hand and you made him spin around too.
He soon got very into it and was singing along with you and he had jumped and spun a few times. You found it absolutely adorable.
You definitely had to play that song in the car and have Cas sing with you just to annoy Dean. Even though he secretly loved it.
