Another successful hunt had just finished, and you had decided to all go out to a bar. Well more like Dean decided for all of you. Sam and you just wanted to get back to the bunker and relax. You took a sip of the beer in front of you and sighed in exhaustion.

"You're tired." Sam's voice cut through the fog in your mind. "Yeah I am Sammy, I'm really tired," you confessed to the youngest Winchester. He nodded and placed a comforting hand on your shoulder. You gave him a tired smile before turning to look at Dean.

That's when you saw it, Dean was standing in front of a bigger guy. He was a bit taller and more built than Dean was. You sighed in annoyance at the green-eyed man.

You looked away to take another sip of your drink when all of a sudden you heard a crash. Your head whipped around at the commotion just to see the guy on the floor. Dean let out a chuckle and smiled at you.

That didn't last long because the guy got up and punched Dean in the face sending him back into a table. You and Sam jumped right up and went straight into defense mode. Another guy had gotten up when he saw you and Sam getting up. He stood next to the tall, built blond. You stood in front of the blondie ready to fight if necessary. Sam was in front of the smaller one, and when Dean stood again he almost immediately threw a punch, you had gotten out of the way in time but that's when everything went to shit. The guys had Dean pinned on the floor punching him, and all you could see was the guy's bloody fist and Dean trying his best to fight back.

Sam was handling the other guy when he was about to knock Sam down you kick the back of his knee and he fell to the floor. Then you went to grab the guy on Dean and try to pry him off. You gripped his shoulder tightly and pulled hard. You knew a little trick you had learned from your mother, how to easily dislocate someone's shoulder. He tried to shake you off, but you held on and placed your hands in the correct places before making a swift movement. Hearing a popping sound you smirked and the guy yelled before falling off of Dean. Your best friend lied on the floor with a bloody nose and a black eye. Your heart rate raised and you kicked the man in the stomach as he tried to get up. He fell once again and cried when his shoulder hit the floor.

You walked over to him and as you did he quickly kicked your leg out and you fell backward slamming your head against the floor. You groaned in pain but got up as quickly as you could. You saw the smaller guy on the floor and Sam above him. He was knocked out, and you smirked at Sammy.

As you got up the blond managed to as well, and without you noticing through all the noise he broke a bottle. You turned back around to face the man, but as soon as you did you felt a sharp pain in your side. You gasped in surprise at the contact before looking down to see crimson pooling across your white t-shirt. A gash showed itself across your right side. You looked up at the guy and saw him with an almost satisfied smile. You cringed in pain, and you heard the boys rushing up behind you to get to the guy. Before they could get to him you with all your strength you had reared your fist back and smashed it into his jaw. He fell back again and had actually passed out and it was your turn to smirk. Just as you did your knees buckled and the last thing you saw was the floor rushing up to meet you.

Sam caught you in his arms and began to try and put pressure. You were bleeding rather quickly and so he and Dean got you into the Impala as fast as possible. You were close to the bunker and so they drove the short 5 minutes home. Dean drove even faster than normal and got you all there in about 3 minutes.

Sam rushed out of the car and walked into the bunker. He lied you down on one of the beds they had for when one of you was really hurt and they needed to fix them up.

Sam had blood on his shirt and hands, and Dean was getting the essentials together.

"Damn it, Dean. Just call Cas down here now!" Sam raised his voice at his older brother.

"Cas, we need you down here right now. (y/n) is hurt bad, you got to help her." Dean called upon their best friend.

Immediately Castiel showed up beside you, panic in his eyes at your state. He assessed the damage hastily and placed his hands over the gash. There was the usual glow and soon enough the gash was gone, and Castiel looked up to Dean and Sam for an explanation.

"What the hell happened to her?" he sternly questioned the boys mainly Dean.

"We finished a hunt and decided to get some drinks." Sam cut Dean off. "You decided to get drinks Dean. not us." he corrected him.

"What happened?" Castiel spoke up loudly.

He walked towards Dean, striding with slight intimidation. Dean backed up just a bit, but he continued to explain.

"Some guy he was saying some crappy stuff so I punched him alright. We got in a fight they both got up to defend me. She beat the guy pretty bad honestly." he ended with a lighter tone trying to get the atmosphere less tense.

"How did she get hurt that badly in a bar fight Dean?" Castiel growled.

"The guy broke a bottle, she didn't see it and he got to her. It happened quickly Cas I'm sorry, I wasn't meaning for any of this." Dean said, trying to explain to the angel what happened.

"You were being stupid Dean. was any of that necessary?" Cas questioned angrily.

Dean sighed and looked away. Cas then turned to Sam.

"Sam, thank you for helping. I can take it from here." Cas calmly addressed.

"Yeah of course, if you need anything just call," he said before placing a kiss on your head and leaving the room.

"Cas, I'm-" "Dean, just leave it. Go." Cas commanded. Dean let his shoulder fall and he sighed before walking out.

Castiel walked to sit next to you. He moved a piece of hair away from your face and sighed.

"(y/n), why do you have to throw yourself in front of anyone no matter the situation?" he asked your sleeping figure. He sighed and picked you up, in a whoosh and flutter of wings you were in your room. The blood was gone and you were clean, in comfortable clothes. He placed you under the covers and sat beside you, opening the book on your bedside. It made him smile seeing as it was your favorite poetry book. It was worn and on some pages, his name was written by a specific poem.

You stirred awake, and when you opened your eyes you sighed. There was no gash on your side and you were in your bed all cleaned up.

"Hey Cas." you acknowledged the angel, knowing he was there because of the condition you were in.

"What were you thinking?" you heard his rough voice cut through the silence that had encapsulated the room. "I stepped in to help Dean, I wasn't just going to stand by and watch him get beaten up, and fight this guy alone. You know I would never do that to any of you boys," you said. Your voice was rough and your throat was dry. You looked at your bedside table to find the bottle of water you kept. You took a sip of it and sighed heavily.

"Dean could've handled it himself. I hate when you do that. I can't have you hurt so often it kills me. I always wonder if I'll get to you in time." he tells you, you turn to look at those ocean eyes you adored so much.

"Castiel, I'm always ok. You make it on time, and I can take care of myself too you know. It's fine now ok. I'm here and I'm not going anywhere." you told him. Reaching over you grasped his hand, and brought it up to your lips so you could kiss it. "Don't keep doing those reckless things... please." Castiel almost pleaded with you.

"Castiel, this job is reckless, life can be reckless I can't stop its recklessness. I will do my best for you though. I'll do anything for you, Angel. " you told him. He nodded at you and pulled you closer to him. Your hand rested on his chest. "I'll never not be here for you. I'm reckless for you, I always have been and I will never not be." he told you.

Your heartbeat skipped and you reached up to kiss his stubble covered cheek.

"I guess our recklessness is mutual." you nuzzled his neck where you had come to rest.

"It does seem so."
