I was woken the next morning to loud banging on my front door. I shoot up out of my bed and race to the door. I open it to see Jack standing in front of me once again. I sigh and allow him to come in and sit.
"You want coffee?" I ask him, still half asleep.
"Yes." I turn to make coffee without another word. Once I hand it to him, I gesture to him to speak when he wants.
"I just wanted to apologize for last night. You're right, you shouldn't have to make a choice on what we are. Hell, we don't have to be anything if that's what you want. I just feel awful for what I did and I came to apologize," he let it all out to me as I tried to keep up with him.
"It's ok, I understood where you were coming from and I should've told you it was harry," I tell him just to make him feel a little better. In real life, I could care less if he was upset, but at the same time I knew he was a good guy and I didn't want to hurt his feelings. I hear my phone ring from the countertop behind me. I grab it to see that it was harry.
"Hello?" I answer.
"Hello miss Rosie Clark, I was going to have brunch today in about thirty minutes with a couple friends, would you like to come?" he asks me.
"Yes, of course. I would love to," I tell him, turning back to Jack who was sitting there watching me take the call. I let out a soft sigh knowing what I had to do.
Shit, I'm gonna regret this later.
"Hey, is it cool if jack comes too?" I ask him.
"Jack? As in, your boyfriend jack?" he asks to clarify. I tell him yes and there is a long pause between my answer and his next answer that I thought the phone had cut out. "Um, y-yeah. That- that's totally fine, totally cool. He can come." he tells me quickly.
"You're the best, see you in thirty," I tell him, hanging up the phone.
"Do you want to meet harry? He's having brunch with some friends and said you can come," I tell jack. Once I finish his face shifts into a smile.
"I would love to," he agrees. We finish out coffee, then I go and get dressed before we hit the road. Harry's isn't the closest to my building but it wasn't too bad.
Jack put his aux on in the car, which mainly consisted of Drake, Pop smoke, and Shoreline Mafia. It took me by surprise and not the good kind of surprise. I wasn't the biggest rap fan, but I could jam to some songs when I felt like it.
We got to Harry's house rather quickly and walked up to the front door. It was a beautiful, big white house with a lot of glass windows and art around it. I was a dream house. We rang the doorbell and it only took a couple seconds for Harry to answer the door.
"Hello Ro!" he greets me coming in for a hug but I could feel jack's arm still around me, like he refused to let go. Harry let go and then turned to jack. "You must be Jack," he says holding his hand out for him to shake but Jack just smiles and nods. Harry shrugs and invites us in. Everything inside is clean white and beautiful. There were little parts around the house that had color but the primary color was a very light grey.
"Everyone is in the backyard. Jack, can I get you a beer?" he asks and Jack nods again. Harry runs off to grab the beers as I pull Jack to the side.
"Do you mind telling me why you're being so rude. He invited us to his house and you aren't even gonna speak to him?" I scold him trying to make him feel bad.
"Correction," he tells me, holding his index finger up and pointing it to me, "he invited you, you invited me."
"Either way, we're both here. So, can you please just be nice?" I ask him, not wanting any confrontation by any means.
