I quickly turn my head to meet a pair of bright blue eyes with blonde strands of hair in front of them.

"Hi, I'm Jack" he softly says in such a beautiful way.

"Hi" is all I could get out of my mouth. I don't know if was the drinks or if it was the beauty of this man standing in front of me, but something was making my mind go crazy.

"And your name is?" he asks with confusion.

"Oh, I'm Rosie. I'm sorry I just-"

You just what? Say something else, stupid!

He gives a light chuckle and sits next to me.

"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you Rosie." he says with his hand out for me to shake it. I shake his hand and give him a big grin.

"I'm sorry. You see I've kind been sitting here drinking alone for a while" I say with immediate regret. my eyes instantly go wide.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

I smack my forehead in complete shock from what I just said. He laughs at my remark which then makes me giggle because of how stupid it was.

"Hey, there's nothing wrong with treating yourself sometimes" he tells me trying to make my statement sound a little better.

"So I see you have an accent. Mind telling where your from?" I ask trying to change the subject quickly so I won't have to talk anymore.

"London" he says not going into any details about it.

"Ah, and tell me british boy what brings you to Los Angeles?"

"I studied marine biology at UCLA and I mean, you can guess where I went after that." he jokes

"Oh," I say in a bit of shock, "so youre like, smart smart."

"I guess you could say that," he laughs with his respond, "now tell me are you from here."

"I lived in a small town in Illinois and studied there, but I just recently moved out here. I got a job offer at a high school. I'm a teacher" I state the obvious for some stupid reason.

"That's interesting, what do you teach?"

"English, mostly advanced, but some regulars here and there."

"Oh, so you're like, deep deep" he makes fun of my joke.

"I mean sure you can say that."

We talk for a couple more hours, just for me to sober up enough to drive home. by the time I am sober, it is around 2am and we both decide we should head home. As I get up to leave a hand stops me. I turn to the hand so see its jack.

"If it's not too much to ask, I was wondering if I could get your number?" he asks so sweetly. This man was so precious, how could I refuse?

I let out another little giggle, grab a napkin and a pen I kept in my purse. I wrote my number on it and gave it to him. He admired it for a second then told me goodnight after walking me to my car. I got in and let out a sigh of relief.

I guess you could say it was pretty good for my first night out in LA.
