"She's the first one that I see and I don't know why. I don't know who she is."

The week flew by so fast. Laney and I spent most of her visit together while Harry and Niall went and did their own thing. I hadn't heard from Jack since everything that had happened. The only thing that had happened with him was when I walked out of my apartment one day to see his set of keys on the floor in front of me with a note that read 'bye.' I also hadn't seen River since the coffee shop, so I had assumed he went back home. Knowing he was gone lifted a lot of stress off of my shoulders. Stress that I didn't know was there.
Laney and Niall's last day came and we decided the four of us would all hang out together. Her mom invited us all over for dinner so we couldn't refuse. Laney came over in the morning and we spent the day together before getting ready. We went to the beach for most of the day and walked around there before coming back to the apartment and getting dressed.
I jumped in the shower quickly to wash the sea salt out of my hair. I got out just in time so Laney could get in and do the same. I throw the towel around my body and walk to my closet to try to find something to wear. I stare at my closet for a couple minutes before coming to the conclusion that I had nothing to wear.
"What are you wearing?" I yell to Laney hoping she'll hear me over the shower running.
"It's sitting on the bed," she tells back. I turn to see a small green satin dress laying perfectly by a set of black heels. I hear the shower turn off and I walk into the bathroom holding the dress in my hands.

"What in the sam hell laney?" I ask her holding the small dress up so she can see it, "why are you wearing this? We aren't going to homecoming you know?"
"I know, but you know my mom. If I wear anything less I'll get yelled at in front of everyone for 'underdressing'." she tells me. I roll my eyes and walk back to my closet.
"Well what am I supposed to wear?" I ask her, looking in my closet again.
"Ugh, move," she grunts, pushing me out of the way and grabbing the first thing she finds and hands it to me. "My mom cares about what I wear, she always loves what you wear," she told me before walking into the bathroom.
"Well I could've done that!" I yell at her.
