I know this isn't the original but I feel this is just a lot prettier and feel right for this chapter.

also I cried writing this, so if you cry reading my apologies:(

My head shoots up when I hear the piercing sound of my phone ringing. I cover my ears, being more sensitive to the sound this morning more than ever. I pick it up quickly to stop the sound. Maybe it was Rosie ready to discuss everything.

"Hello?" I answer fast, in hopes I hear her voice.

"Hey bud, it's me," Jeff says and I release the breath I was holding in.

"oh. hi," I say very monotone.

"So listen," he starts, "I talked to Camille's manager and he is fine with cutting the deal, but only on once condition."

Jesus fuck, what now.

I suck in a sharp, painful breath through my dry mouth.

"What is it?" I breathe out.

"You need to write a song for her," he tells me and I roll my eyes.

"Ugh, why?" I groan and whine like a child.

"Just so people think the relationship was real. Plus um," he starts but gets quiet.

"What is it, Jeff?" I ask, pushing for an answer.

"She's telling her friends that she broke up with you for cheating," he tells me and I scoff at the comment.

"I'm not surprised," I respond, not really giving a single fuck about what she tells people.

"I made sure she didn't tell the press anything about the relationship so there won't be any news stories."

"Well, that's good at least. But there is one problem, I don't even like this girl. What am I supposed to write about?" I ask.

"Well she was spotted out with another dude last night, maybe write about what you miss about her or something like that," he tells me and I rub the back of my neck with my free hand.

"So," I start and think for a second before continuing, "nothing. I would write about nothing."

"Fuck sake, Harry, I don't know make some shit up. Just make it look like it's about Camille okay?" he orders me and I shake my head, really hating the idea but going along with it anyways.

"Alright, I can try. I'll let you know what if I get anything," I tell him.

"Okay, thank you Harry." he hangs up without letting me share another word, just like last night. I sit on the piano bench, trying to remember what happened last night. The last thing I recall is singing in a sunflower field with Rosie next to me. I look at my phone to see it is 4:30 pm.

My god the shrooms did a number on me, huh?

I look around the room and notice there are papers on papers scattered around me with just the words 'SUNFLOWER' written on them. I pick one up and flip it over to see a set of familiar lyrics.

'I couldn't want you anymore, kiss in the kitchen like it's a dance floor. I couldn't want you anymore tonight (echos off).'

I chuckle at the line remembering I sang it in memory of all the times I would make her dance with me in the middle of her kitchen. All those times I wanted to kiss her, but I didn't and I will never understand why.

I pick up the rest of the papers and tried to put them in order. When I finally got it, I got up and set them on my kitchen counter before walking back to my piano. I sit down and start playing random chords I think would sound good together.
