t was almost 1:30 pm when Susco drove the pink car out of Tech Morning Star Building towards to airport. She was flustered as Luke had said their flight was in 2 hours. She tried calling him, but he was in a meeting only replied that the airport security knew they were coming. She didn't want to miss the flight and be forced to pay for fresh tickets.
Mellow could not get time to return from work to the university to get her clothes, so she had to give Dusk access to her room and tell her what to pack. In hindsight, Susco realised that if she had driven to Tech Morning Star, picked Mellow up and driven back with Uni-Viva, it would still be far more efficient than getting Dusk to pack Mellow's bag.
Mellow was in 7th Heaven at the idea of going to Regis for a business meeting. She had heard a lot of stories about the capital and it was a place of dreams for her. She was jabbering excitedly at the back, infecting Dusk, who was apprehensive earlier.
Susco put the car in the overnight parking and they walked into the airport. They ran into the first obstacle. Airport Security would not let them in without a token for the ticket. Susco chided herself for missing the most basic. Luke was still not taking her call. After much argument, they were escorted to the office of the Airport Manager.
"You want to go to Regis? Ok, we have flights to Regis practically every 15 minutes. Which flight did you book on?"
Susco felt like an idiot when replying. "I did not book the tickets, you see, it was actually booked for us from Regis. Since it is a sudden trip, I couldn't wait till they sent the ticket. They told us that Airport Security knows we are coming."
Looking at the incredulous look on the face of the Airport Manager, she decided to call the Rosemary for help since Luke had still not called her back. However, before she could call, the door opened a harried security officer rushed in. He ran over to the Manager's desk and whispered something to him. His face turned pink with agitation.
"Oh, I am so sorry, you are Ms. Hale, right? All arrangements for your flight are done. You see, I never expected you to come in from the passenger entrance and therefore I did not brief the security guards about you."
Susco pointed to Dusk, who was already frustrated and at the limit of her patience with the sudden plans, limited time, rush with clothes and now a confusion of the flights. In a very uncharacteristic manner, she snapped, "Oh Really? You were expecting me through the Baggage entrance perhaps?"
Seeing the blood drain from the horrified man's face, she knew that she had gone overboard. Effect, perhaps, of spending too much time with the likes of Rosemary. She had no real reason to shout at him when she and Sisco had forgotten to get the ticket.
But the Airport Manager only stammered, become more worried as he responded, "No, no, Ma'am! I meant that I was expecting you will drive directly to the Aircraft through the VIP gate. They have been informed of your arrival. But you are right, it is natural that you will come through the Passenger Gate. Would you be inspecting the facilities? Ma'am, I shall ensure that such a mistake is not made again."
Dusk looked at him confused and shook her head. What is this guy blabbering about? Besides her, Susco was almost laughing at the way Dusk was handling the matter. Yep, she now fit being a companion of Luke Jones and Princess Rosemary.
"Well Ma'am, I will arrange for vehicles to take your group immediately to the Aircraft. Or if you prefer, would you like a coffee or a beverage before you board?" Dusk could see the man was sweating, for some reason.
She decided the faster she left this place, the better it would be for both of them. She simply nodded and replied, "If the flight is ready, I do not want to delay it. We will board right away."
