Chapter 122 : Tom Hale

There was a silence in the room for a few seconds. Dusk felt like banging her head against the table in frustration. Susco knew the matter was beyond salvage. Irrespective of whatever reason Dusk was trying to hide her success, the truth was very much out in the open.

Rosemary was bubbling in anger at the delays. Her Uncle was after them for new vehicles and aircrafts which couldn't be made till Patricina delivers more material. It was just a matter of time before she got a call from her Grandfather, the Emperor. Both Techredulous and Futurista were also suffering due to the bottleneck at Patricina and Dusk was still not approving the costs. Unfortunately, it was a 100% subsidiary of Dusk Hale Holdings, so Rosemary had no direct authority.

"You have $22 million in your bank account?" Tom asked shocked.

"Who are you?" Rosemary asked in surprise when she realised that there were some people in the room she did not know.

"This is Dusk's dad and sister." Catherine said excitedly. "Dusk wanted to show them the office." Thought Dusk wanted the exact opposite...

"Oh, then ok. To answer your question, that money is chicken feed. She has over half a billion sitting in that account and an equal amount in a line of credit that has not been used! And she is not approving the POs!" Rosemary replied derisively.

"Let's not confuse things, Rosemary! That is not my money and is not in my account. It's in the account of the company. And its raised, meaning there is a debt that needs to be paid back! Stop saying it's my money!" Dusk tried to stop Rosemary.

The Princess, however, did not get the point. "Oh Humbug! You have bloody $5 billion in stocks of Cartier Fruit! If you ever need to pay Luke half a billion back, you only need to sell a small part of your shares.? And you own 95% of this company. Now, stop this nonsense. I need the increased production. Or just sell me the bloody business if you can't handle it, so I can do the investments."

As Dusk and Rosemary glared at each other across the table, Susco intervened. "Princess Rosemary, Princess Scarlet is on the way up to the office, please sit with her. Banko-Corp Romana's President is coming. You both need to strategize. Arora, give them Conf Room 13... Catherine, why don't you take Dawn Hale for a tour. Show her this office, VR test room, servers and even your office. How can you not show her your office?"

Rosemary frowned and then realised that if Susco was giving her orders like that, something was not right. There must be something that she wanted to avoid. Rosemary got up and walked off with Arora. Catherine pulled Dawn and ran out of the room.

As they left, Dusk could hear Dawn asking, "Wait! You are THE Princess Catherine? Oh Wow! I didn't realise... Your Pics look quite different."

Only the three of them were left in the room. Susco signalled to Dusk that she can leave if needed, but Dusk motioned her to stay.

"Dusk! What is going on! What is that female talking about? Millions? Billions?" Tom asked, now suspicious.

Dusk slumped back in her chair. She looked at Susco for help. Seeing Dusk not saying anything, Tom got aggressive.

"You are always out, going to various places. You are doing all kinds of things that come in news. The Mayor always has more things to tell me of your 'exploits'. You even got him in trouble some time back. He got arrested because of you! How can you get him into trouble when he helped us so much?

"And I checked at the University. You are not attending your courses. The attendance records show you are not in class all the time. The Dorm records show you are not even staying there! I did not send you to the university to sleep around with people. If you are not studying, then come back home, right now!"
