Chapter 137 : The Rising Business Star

Susco was having a bad morning. She was sitting in Dusk's EPAC on way to Ci'gazze, with the team from Onhaire Associates and Victor (they were sitting away from her). She was behind schedule by more than 2 hours.

The previous night, they had returned home very late. The ball did not end as quickly as she had expected. For some reason, instead of being ready to return home, both Lady Nirmala Grant and Lady Crystala Lidwig suddenly became interested to meet everyone in the party. They got into endless discussions, and Susco saw that she was staying longer too.

She had ended up having dinner with Noel and some of his friends. Unexpectedly the group seem to have accepted her as one of them, though they were all from Noble families and she was a commoner. As she thought back, she felt that Lady Crystala had sort of shooed her away when she asked about their dinner plans.

She ate a lot and drank too much, talked of all nonsensical and inconsequential things with Noel and his friends. In the end, she found she was had got into a giggle fit with the other 3 girls in the group over everything. She was officially drunk!

She woke up with a massive hangover. She did not remember how she had returned back to Occulta Palace. She looked down and saw she was in a night suit, which meant the maids had helped her change... That was exceedingly embarrassing. She somehow managed to message Victor that they will leave late and went back to sleep.

When she finally woke up and managed to drag herself to the pool side for breakfast (as the maid directed), she found Lord Sunjune looking at her with an amused expression and Lady Crystala was in a happy indulgent mood. She was thankful she didn't make a fool of herself by getting into bed with Noel (though she was tempted in her drunken state).

Now as she read through the news on her communicator, she was shocked. All her sleepiness vanished, and her headache worsened. She was away from Ci'gazze for a day and this girl had caused another upheaval.

Business Acquisition: Dusk Hale Does it Again!!

News had been filtering in overnight and has bust into the headlines this morning as a number of listed companies sent intimation to the RMSE and to ISEMB of 'significant change in ownership'. Dusk Hale Holdings LLC, it seemed, had suddenly acquired increased holdings in many companies by way of negotiation... again.

The news has sent all Financial and Media networks into a scramble to find out what was happening. A few minutes ago, we got the information we were looking for... Dusk Hale, the famous Student Entrepreneur and Maverick investor, whose meteoric rise we have been witnessing over the last year, has made another astonishing move...

In an All-Stock Deal, Dusk Hale Holdings has acquired Luke Jones AJP. The AJP owns 28 subsidiaries and has substantial holdings in many others. It also owns large residential and commercial properties in many cities, which also now belong to Dusk Hale Holdings LLC.

As a part of the deal done with the shareholders of the AJP, Dusk Hale Holdings seem to have acquired some other businesses that are not a part of the AJP. That includes Arco-Bravadia, which makes EPAC airplanes and three other overseas businesses that are involved in aircrafts and fighter-jets business. There seem to be filings made in 8 different countries around the world which are reporting transfer of ownership to Dusk Hale Holdings LLC.

Since details are still awaited, accountants and analysists are struggling to compute values. A partner in the largest accounting firm in the country, Qualquick Scarcia Partners LLP, estimated the Net worth of Dusk Hale Holdings at $50 Billion. He also said that his firm will recompute the value as more information is available and hinted that the company's value could go as high as $75 Billion.
