Chapter 119 : Kidnapped?

What was the 'Kidnapping story' Catherine talked about?

It started with Lady Crystala, waking up pretty late that morning. She stretched and lazily looked at the clock. It was already 10:00 am. She called the maid and asked her to ready the bath.

She soaked herself leisurely and then had a light breakfast, intending to have a good lunch with her nieces. She called Imperial Security and asked for a car to pick her up and take her to Uni-Viva.

She called both the girls, but they did not answer. She guessed they must be both sleeping after the tiring party of the previous night. She got ready to leave. There was no hurry.

She finally arrived at Uni-Viva at 11:30. Her Imperial Security Team already had directions to Julien's Suite, so she did not need to ask anyone. The car stopped at the back side of the PG Dorm, next to a beautiful garden. The Officer led Lady Crystala up the paved stone path along the side of the garden and climbed the stairs to the first floor.

Then she walked along the wide passageway to room 285. The 3 rooms next to it were dummies, to cover for how large Julien's Apartment in the Dorm was.

She pressed the alert button and waited. No response. She tried twice but still no one opened the door. Her 2 maids were waiting patiently with the bags behind her. She got them to help since she knew Dusk had not got maids and the place would need to be straightened.

When the door did not open, her security officer tried to open the door with his override, but it did not work. Obviously, Julien's room had better protection and even Imperial Security could not enter without approval.

She decided to call Julien for help. Julien answered the call immediately and assured her that he will get it opened. The easiest way was to call one of his Shadow Guards. He knew that Rusks was up almost all night due to the 'nail incident' and he did not want to disturb him. He instead called Rusks assistant, Quola who was heading Dusk's security at that time.

Quola was busy with something else at that time, and he could not leave without completing it. He tried to hurry, as keeping a Senior Royal waiting was not a good idea. If she was in a bad mood, he would be at the receiving end. He wondered why she had not informed him earlier of her arrival.

Quola ran up to the garden 20 minutes later and walked up the path to the building. He saw Lady Crystala sitting on the grass in the lawn of the garden, looking at something in the sky. He rushed over. He also looked up but could not see anything. Even with his enhanced sensors in the security system there seemed to be nothing in the sky.

"Your Ladyship! Is everything ok? Why are you on the ground?" He asked, concerned.

"It has been very long since I could sit on the grass, you know, Officer. This Royal Life is pretty restrictive. I can see why Julien did not want to come back. And why my nieces keep wanting to run off here..." She replied.

After a pause, she asked, "Did you manage to open the door?"

"No Ma'am, I have an access card and if they have not changed the settings, we will get in. They shouldn't change it without letting us know, because we need to get the maids for cleaning when the room is not used." He replied as he helped her up and escorted her back to the passageway to access Julien's Suite.

Quola identified himself to the AI and the door opened. He led the Lady in, along with the Maids and her Security Head.

"Catherine Darling wake up! Scarlet!" Crystala shouted. Then she waited and there was still no response.

She called again and there was still total silence in the apartment. She plonked herself on a sofa and asked the Maids to go and wake up the Princesses. Her security officers and Quola stood politely at the side. They had not been given approval to leave.
