Dusk, Catherine and Drabert returned to the room where the Futurista Promotors were waiting. The Futurista promotors had read the agreement and were ready to sign. For them it was the best deal they could have asked for.
When they originally spoke to Professor Handa, they hoped he would convince Dusk Hale to join as their CEO and help turn the business around. They knew that with her support, they could raise some capital so they could finish the product. Hopefully she would be able to spare enough time to help them run the business properly.
While they needed $3 million, at best they would be able to get a million and they would beg some other company for manufacturing facility capable of making the gloves. Dusk's popularity would help market the product and they would be able to pay her and make it worthwhile for her. They would still have money left after Dusk Hale took her pound of flesh.
Instead, Dusk had come up with an offer to invest $7 Million in the company immediately. They did not believe for a minute that a 16-year-old had come up with the plan. The Princess's words were too 'Tutored'. They couldn't understand the problem that Dusk Hale and the Princess had argued about, but it did not concern them. Their company was saved. They got a second chance.
The agreement was signed by each one by affixing their token on the document. They sent their tokens to Susco. She called each of them separately, on a secluded video feed, to confirm each of them had agreed to the deal (no coercion from anyone to sign) and then she embedded the tokens along with her own as Officer of Court and uploaded it on the Ministry of Commerce server.
With that, subject to the payment being made, the ownership of the company changed. A shareholders meeting was scheduled on the next day to appoint Dusk Hale as Director along with Susco also as Director, being the representative of Princess Catherine. She would be required to fly down to Regis the next morning for the Shareholders Meeting.
Susco wondered what was happening to her. She was an ordinary girl, but her life had changed. Now she was Amicus Curie for Princess Catherine, managing a $30 Million fund, apart from Dusk Hale's. The Crown Property Trustee had informed her that she would be entitled to a payment of $5,000 a month additional for her work for Princess Catherine. Plus, she would be entitled to unlimited travel, stay and food expenses from Crown Property Trustee as long as the expense was connected with the Princess. Since the Princess was only 16, she would remain the Amicus Curie for 5 years till she turned 21 or finished her education, whichever later.
Susco wondered why no one in Uni-Viva had not yet said anything about her lack of time for her duties in the university. She now had 2 assistants who were doing her work, she was only required to guide them. However, normally, a counsellor would not have an assistant...
Still, she should not complain. Monetary benefits were high, and she was learning things she would never have earlier. She stayed this time in the Continental Plaza Hotel and travelled thrice by EPAC and once by commercial air. She was driving around in a unique Pink Hover-car, no matter that it did not belong to her... If her parents saw her lifestyle, they would die of shock. They were already questioning where she got the extra money she had sent them the previous month.
... ...
After the agreement was signed, Prince Drabert and Daniel left. Dusk, Catherine, Handa and the Futurista Promotors had a late lunch at the Staff Eatery in the college.
Thereafter, the Principal himself took Dusk and Catherine for a tour of the College, which Dusk could not refuse. She, in any case, wanted to see the college. She was impressed with the facilities, the computer labs, physical tech labs, massive study halls, student facilities. These were missing when she studied remotely.
