Chapter 115 : Training Review

Right in front, ahead of the group, was Piggon, who came and shook her hand. "Wow Dusk, where did you get that bike? Oh, stupid question, you are an extremely rich entrepreneur! But where did you learn to ride like that? Totally Awesome!"

Dusk saw the others around were people from her squad or those she had seen many times on the training grounds. But walking in steady long strides behind them was Sargent Bear! And he did not look happy.

"Just who told you that you needed to make such an entry to announce your return to Uni-Viva, Dusk Hale?" He thundered.

But before Dusk could say anything in reply, 5 Duo-Pax with Ci'gazze Militia emerged from various directions towards the parking lot. They held formation while a senior officer got off and came towards them.

"What exactly is going on here, Sargent? Why are you allowing your students to ride wildly like that? Miss, give me your ID, I want to check your license. We should cancel it, given such reckle..." The officer startled, seeing Dusk's face properly, his voice suddenly changed.

"Oh! Ms. Hale? I am so sorry to disturb you. We were not notified that you are going to ride a bike today. Actually, our records do not show you know how to ride it. Please proceed. Sorry to disturb your training." The last part he addressed to the Sargent.

The officer turned and quickly got on to a Duo-Pax and left as if he wanted to avoid a reprimand. The students and Military Personnel around were stunned. Militia officers in Uni-Viva campus were rare. And one backing out like that was unheard off. They are said to pull down even senior government officials for violations.

Dusk's face flushed with embarrassment as she wondered what the students were thinking of her at that moment. She turned to the Sargent and saluted him. "Sorry Sir, I returned very late last night and there was an accident in which I hurt my hand, so I woke late and borrowed the bike to come for the training on time... I allowed the AI to drive and I did not know it thinks 275 is a normal speed."

Behind her, the AI came to life and objected, "Hey! I asked you to drive, you refused. I asked you to set the throttle, you asked me to drive like my previous owner! Don't blame me if you wanted to reach here fast. You said that 4 times that we needed to reach on time without specifying when, and you had already wasted 30 seconds sitting idle!"

Sargent Bear turned and barked, "Who asked you for your opinion?"

"She blamed me, so I have every right to defend myself! Who says only military Sargent have rights to give a clarification?"

Suddenly Bear realised he was arguing with a bike! But he narrowed his eyes and asked, "And who exactly are you to speak without being asked a question?"

"I am the AI that operates this bike. Dusk Hale, being the owner of the bike may be my Master, but that does not mean I will take any insult lying down. In fact, I will never lie down. I will always maintain a steady balance." The AI retorted adding his own joke.

The students around supressed their laughter as they saw Bear going red and dark. Dusk quickly checked on her communicator and found that the ownership of the Deo-Pax had indeed been transferred to her!

"Come with me." Sargent Bear said harshly and walked away. Dusk gave the bike a dirty look and it shut down again. She then ran after the Sargent, back to her old Squad.

The other members of the squad greeted her enthusiastically. On Piggon's urging, many of them had bought small quantity of shares of Cartier Fruit Masters Inc. and their money had multiplied 2-3 times already. Piggon's boyfriend from Business Management promised to tell them when to sell. They were supporters of Dusk Hale earlier, now they had become her fans.
