Chapter 144 : Tempest Island College

The next morning, Dusk returned to Occulta Palace just before breakfast. The morning training had gone without Dusk and the Marshall was upset, but Luke had again asked for her to be excused. She wondered why the Marshall was willing to listen to him...

She wanted to get quietly back to her room and change, but the Butler went and announced in the Poolside Breakfast area that "Lady Dusk Hale" had just arrived and whether they would wait for her to change before they started breakfast. They did and a maid came and told her.

She was expecting embarrassing questions...

"Where were you last night?" Dawn asked. "We went searching for you at training this morning and the Marshall made me do some running and stretching and stuff in your place!"

"She just came back, Dawn. Don't be daft. Can't you guess where she must have been? She had to change too, so you know she was still in yesterday's dress... Someone is in town! Then do you expect she would be sleeping alone?" Catherine said with a mischievous smile.

Seeing Lord Sunjune giving a knowing smile, Dusk blushed deeply. If they were alone, she would have probably tried to shut the Princess up physically, but that too would be difficult as the Princess was a better fighter.

"Oh! You went to Luke's house then?" Dawn asked, eyes widening. "You stayed there?"

"Stayed there and did k-i-s-s-y, and some more..." Catherine said in a sing song manner. But seeing Dusk getting more and more embarrassed, Lady Crystala put a stop to it and told the teens to shut up and not make any more noise till breakfast was over.

Dusk quickly attacked the breakfast. Luke wanted her to have breakfast with him, but she had woken up late and knew the teens would be after her blood soon.

"I will be returning to Ci'gazze now, there is too much to do. Dawn, you can come back with me or you can stay with Catherine for a few days and then come back." Dusk suddenly said.

Crystala looked upset, but Catherine was the first to protest, "What? No way! Then I am going back too. Come on Dawn, let's ask the maids to pack up for us."

Dawn nodded and turned to the butler, but Dusk interrupted her. "Dawn, don't you dare start with that type of a thing. Finish your breakfast and then go and pack your own bag. Why should the maid pack for you? And Catherine, there is no need for you to come back to Ci'gazze. You can stay here. Your parents must be missing you."

"My office is in Ci'gazze." Catherine replied stubbornly.

"Patricina has an office here. You can go and see the new factory being constructed. And Luke Jones AJP Head Office is here too. You can work there if you need. You can have my car too." Dusk tried to convince her. She did not want Catherine's mother to blame her for the kid's prolonged absence.

But Catherine was having none of it. She asked the Butler to have the maids have her bags packed and send it to the airport to be loaded on Dusk's EPAC. It was then that Dusk remembered the shopping of the previous day and how many bags she would have.

"Come with me to college before we leave." Catherine said.

"No Way!" Dusk replied. "I am not going to college. You go, finish what you need, and I will wait for you at the Airport. I will use one of the Lounges for attending my courses. I am falling behind and the current sessions are important. Take Dawn with you."

"But I WANT you to come with me." Catherine said. Seeing Dusk was not likely to agree, she changed her approach. "I am afraid that everyone will look down at me and blame me for what happened with Henry. If you don't go, people will bully me as they did before. But I guess I must learn to accept that I will be bullied always. I hope I learned enough to not get depressed again."
