The dinner was wonderful, but Dusk would have preferred to have the dinner in the amazing buffet that was set up for the party. The choices were so much more. But after what had happened, that was no longer an option.

Catherine was a little worried as she did not know whether Dusk was still angry with her.

Finally, she ventured, "Elder Sister, Dusk, are you angry with me? Are you mad? I know Luke is..."

Dusk looked up at her. She wondered if she was mad at her. True, she was missing part of the party. She liked parties, she liked dancing. The boys and girls at the party were nice. None of them were rude to her. The food was also very good. Plus, her time with Luke was messed up.

But in the end, she shook her head. "No, I am not mad at you. But I am upset. How could you do something like that."

"But why can't I be kissed? Don't I have a right to be 'normal'? It's not wrong, you know. I am 16... not 10. Every girl in class has been kissed. Why not me?" she asked rebelliously.

Dusk sighed. "Just because everyone ... Come on, Catherine, you are better than that!"

Dusk looked around and saw that all the maids and attendants had vacated the room as had the guards. They would be watching so that they can step back if needed. But they had given Dusk and Catherine privacy they wanted.

Catherine jutted out her chin in defiance. "You mean, I do not have a right to be kissed. I am not as good and attractive as the other girls in school? I must remain a saint, just because I am supposed to be a princess?"

"Cath! When did I say you are not as attractive? Of course, you are. But that is not the point. Just because everyone, or more correctly many, girls have been kissed does not mean you HAVE to be! You are a Princess. You have higher standards." She tried again.

"So, I can't have feelings?"

Dusk threw up her hands in frustration. She wished Susco was there, because she would know how to handle this girl better. Just as she thought of her, Susco's message came back that she had returned to Continental Pacific and that the car was with her. She would come back to pick them up if they wanted, in the morning.

She replied to Susco that they will return on their own.

"Catherine, just because you are 16 does not mean you HAVE to kiss a guy. I didn't. Just because everyone does, you do not have to, either. You have had human bio class, right? You know about hormones. This is the time they kick in. But just because they are urging you to do something does not mean that you have to do it." Dusk tried to reason with Catherine.

Catherine looked sullen. "I didn't object to you kissing my brother! So why do you have to object for me?"

"Because, my dear younger sister, I am almost 21 years old and you are just 16! Do you understand the difference?"

"Age is just a number, Grandfather told me."

Dusk opened her mouth to say something, then shut it. This girl was just being rebellious, only because she could. Then a thought struck her. "Catherine, you usually are happy to come and sleep in my bed. In fact, you beg me for it at the hotel. Why were you angry when I told Lord Cartier that you will spend the night in my room now? Tell me, did you actually make some arrangement with Henry Cartier?"

Seeing Catherine's face turn red, Dusk's eyes widened. "NO! Tell me you didn't! You surely didn't ask him to come over to your room at night!"

Catherine kept quiet and Dusk started to panic. There was no way she would be responsible for this girl! They needed to return to Regis right then and she needed to return to her parent's house.
