When Dusk, Catherine and Sylvia reached Dorm 6 building, she requested the Militia Officer to park the car for her. As they waited for him to return the key-card, Scarlet and Rusks arrived. Dusk was surprised as she thought the Duo-Pax would travel faster than the car. And Rusks had started before her in any case. Perhaps Rusks drove slowly because a Princess was at the back.
She also noticed that in spite of being in a protected bubble, Scarlet's hair was messed up and she looked flushed. Dusk wondered what happened to excite her. Perhaps all bike rides were exciting to Scarlet, she thought, even as she remembered her own rides with Luke.
Catherine and Scarlet insisted on going up to see Dusk's Dorm Room. They were curious about all aspects of her University Life. Scarlet's own experience was different as her father's A-SAPTs travelled 200km very quickly each way to take her to Konrad University and back every day. She never had an opportunity to live at the campus.
Dusk signed in to the AI and asked for 1 hour visitor entry for her two companions. As the AI flashed the identity conformation for both of them, Sylvia's face reflected her shock. Both of them were Princesses? And the kid who had beaten her up was THE Princess Catherine? The most popular girl on Pictorial Bravadia? She decided that it was a good thing she did not complain to Dusk about her. Life would be difficult after that, because the Princess would 'revenge her' for it!
She recognised Scarlet also.
"Princess Scarlet..." she stated a little hesitantly, "About 5 years ago, I interned for the Highland Provincial Government. I was mercilessly... bullied by someone every time I made a mistake... Was that you? Because if so, I owe you a lot for making me a perfectionist and that got me job with the government and my full scholarship at Uni-Viva. And I never thanked you... At that time I would have preferred to thrash you, except that your guards would shoot me first. And somehow you only berated me on video messages, I never met you."
Scarlet gave a weak, sad smile, as she remembered the incidents. "Are you Ron Ottora's daughter? Please do not remind me of those days. I was very mean. Instead of helping you learn and improve, I only shouted at you. It was the first time I was trying to work with others. I think I became better later. I will treat you to a new set of clothes before I leave, as an apology."
Sylvia was embarrassed. "No Princess! I want to thank you for your harsh words. That made me realise how much more serious I needed to be. I improved... And nothing my professors say today sounds bad after that. I can't afford to buy you a set of clothes as thank-you, but I will invite you to dinner at Harmony or whatever place you like."
Arguing about who owes whom a treat, the four of them went up to the dorm. They got off the lift. Sylvia's room as at the end of the same floor.
When they reached her dorm room and opened the door, the Princesses were very surprised because they did not realise that Dorm Rooms were so small, that also with 4 beds in it. Dusk's dorm-mates woke up when she came in and were unhappy to see her. They had hoped the pretentious attention-hog had left her courses and gone. They used to get angry every time there were posts of her on Social Media.
"Oh! The queen of Sheeba has returned to the dorm! What happened to her highness? Ran out of people to sleep with, shameless?" Violet asked sarcastically.
"Yeah, some of us have to work hard and unlike you, we go to bed on time. How dare you disturb our sleep?" Amelia shouted.
Both Catherine and Scarlet frowned and narrowed their eyes. They had never been spoken to like that before. Catherine was angered by the allegation made against Dusk and was about to lash out but she saw Dusk cool about it and held back her temper.
