As Scarlet sat morose, Catherine came in extremely excited.

"Clifford says there is a beach party going on ahead. Let's go and join them!" she said.

"Why will they allow us to join them?" Scarlet asked.

"Why not? They are having a party, we are also having a party. It will be fun if we join them. We can get some good food from the yacht so they will not mind." Catherine said, not even considering the possibility that someone may not want her around.

"Let Dusk ask Rusks and see if he thinks it is possible." Scarlet told Catherine.

Dusk at first refused to go and ask Rusks for something as ridiculous as joining some other private beach, uninvited! But everyone was in a good mood and glasses of alcohol had loosened their inhibitions. They all ganged up on her (including the normally sedate Susco) and forced her to go and get approval.

She went up to the 'bridge' to speak to Rusks. Seeing the room again, she remembered how she sat there with Luke while he took the ship out of the harbour and blushed with embarrassment. Then she started to miss him.

"Yes, Ms. Hale?" Rusks asked.

"Umm... Princess Catherine says there is a beach party happening ahead on our left side. She wants us to go there." Dusk told him.

Rusks picked up a data-pad and checked the area using the scanners on the yacht. The AI collated the data and found the spot that the Princess had identified.

"It's a party in a private beach. Let me see if we can gain access." He replied. He then got busy on the communicator and after some time he said he was not able to reach the owners on the communicator.

Catherine also came to the Bridge. She was not willing to give up the opportunity. "Let's go and see if they are willing to let us in."

She badgered him till he finally agreed to give it a try. The Yacht could not go all the way to the beach. Swimming to the beach was not an option in the night. So finally, Rusks called the captain of one of the warships shadowing them and asked for a small boat to ferry them to the shore.

The powerboat came to the yacht. Rusks took Dusk to the lower deck where he punched in a certain code and a door opened. Behind the door, at water level there was a sort of platform into which the power boat had wedged itself. There were 4 well-armed Navy Soldiers in it.

As Rusks helped Dusk on to the boat, he realised that he had made a big mistake. He considered sending the soldiers to find out whether they could get to the party. But they may make a mess of it since tact was not something taught to soldiers. Or they may disclose the identity of the Princesses or the Senior Royal. But taking Dusk with them was a risk, as they did not know who was on the beach, whether there were armed men, whether there were any illegal elements or activities. He blamed the Princesses for warping his judgement. But he could not tell Dusk to go back now.

It took them only 2 minutes to get to the beach. They landed the boat on the beach. One of the soldiers jumped off the boat and secured it, pulling it into the shore as they did not want a Category Z protectee to get her feet wet. Others got off and took defensive positions while Rusks helped Dusk off the boat. She was surprised to see he also had a handgun in his hand. She did not know when he drew it out.

The party at the beach stopped and there was complete silence as even the music stopped. Dusk realised that unlike normal parties, the music here was being played by 4 of the party guests, not by a music machine or a holovision projector. Everyone was looking at them nervously. Dusk felt that their entrance was a bad move. No one would be happy to see armed men barging into their party.
