Virgil's POV

We arrive at school and go right to class. I hear my phone buzz and see Janus texted me again.

Logan asks, "Everything alright?"

I look up at him as I set my phone face down onto the table, "Yeah. Just Remy texting me to have a good day."

"Alright."

The teacher comes in and we start our work. We are starting a group project today and luckily I have a group (Roman, Patton, and Logan) and we all are doing the work equally. We are halfway through class when the teacher has to leave for an emergency. Meaning we have no teacher until she returns.

A student, Eric I think his name is, walks over to our table. Roman and Patton look at him as Logan and I look at our laptops.

Eric says, "Hey Virge."

I get tense and look at him, Logan stops typing on his laptop.

"I heard from Janus and Remus that you give the best blow-"

"If you finish that sentence I will personally make sure you can't speak for a month," Logan says in a harsh and very scary tone.

Eric looks at Logan, "Excuse me?"

"You heard me."

They stare at each other and at this point everyone is looking at our table. The tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife.

The teacher returns and notices, she then leaves the room after saying something along the lines of, "I don't get paid enough for this." (Fun fact this happened once at my school. She closed the door so she couldn't see it.)

Eric leans over the table, staring Logan down, "So what? Is Virgil your new boyt-"

Logan punches him in the face before he can finish that sentence. Eric punches Logan in the gut as Patton runs out for a teacher and Roman tries pulling them apart. Everyone starts yelling and cheering.

I watch and try not to shake from all the noise and the fight. But holy shit. Logan is beating his ass.

Once a teacher comes in both are bloody and I'm sure Logan broke Eric's nose. They both get taken out of class and we go to our next period.

Time skip to lunch

Logan comes to lunch, "I'm allowed to finish the school day but will be suspended for a week.... My parents are going to kill me."

Roman looks at him, "If they... You know. You can come to my hosue."

"Thank you Roman."

I wonder what that means. I won't ask anything though. It's not my business and I don't want to pry.

Patton says, "I hope Eric learned his lesson."

Logan nodded then turned to me. Not gonna lie I'm kind of scared of him. He was like a totally different person. He moved his hand to touch me and without meaning to I flinch and move away. I see the hurt on his face.

We all go quiet and eat our food in awkward silence and tension.

Timeskip

I'm about to leave school and Logan stops me at the front of the building.

"Hey Virgil can we talk," he asks.

I answer with a shrug.

"Look I didn't mean to scare you but I would never hurt you. I'm sorry for getting violent but Eric had no right to speak that way to you or about you."

"I know...! But you can't just punch someone in the face! Now your in trouble and will be gone for a week while Eric is still here. You just made this harder." I sigh and see Remy, "I gotta go." I mumble and walk away.

I get in the car and Remy gets the hint that I do not want to talk so we ride home in silence.

I just hope tomorrow isn't bad. It's the last day that I have to go. And mom and dad will be home in two days. I can't wait.
