Remy's POV

"So we are adopting Logan," Emile asks.

I nod, "Roman gave us evidence of them abusing him and they dropped him out. Not to mention, he broke up with Virgil outta nowhere. That is not getting by me. They need to talk."

Emile nods, "Okay. Court is in a few hours. Let's get dressed and talk to Roman and Patton."

Once we are dressed Roman and Patton arrive at my house. We all keep our voices low.

I say, "I will send you an update once the court meeting is over. Stay quiet since Virgil is still upset."

They nod and I go to Virgil's room. "Babes, me and Emile are leaving. Food is in the fridge and if you need anything call me. Be back soon."

I leave and get into the car. Logan needs a healthy family.

This kind of happened out of nowhere but once Roman told us of the abuse and the way Logan is treated by his parents, we need to get him into a safe and loving home.

So now we are fighting for custody over him.

Patton's POV

Roman and I sit down on the couch once Remy and Emile leave. After a few minutes we hear a door creak and go quiet. Virgil has no idea we are here.

We look at the hallway entrance. Virgil walks in, his head down. He looks awful. He is deathly pale, looks tired, messy, and his hoodie that was already loose on him is almost twice as big. He's barely eaten! He looks dead!

I get off the couch, "Hey kiddo." My voice is soft.

He stops and looks at me, "...H-Hey..."

Roman waves, "Long time emo."

Virgil shrugs and starts walking back to his room. I walk over to him, "Wait. You can sit with us."

He shakes his head a little.

Roman grabs him gently and picks him up bridal style, "Come on."

He sets Virgil on the couch who sighs and curls into a ball, his hoodie hiding him.

I sit down keeping a distance since he doesn't want to be too close to us and Roman sits down. He looks so different and it has only been four weeks.

Roman starts talking, "So... I know you probably don't want to talk but I want you to know that it was all Janus, Remus, and Logan's parents fault for the break up."

Virgil buries his face in the couch arm.

"Janus made it seem like Logan attacked him and his father and Janus wanted him to break up with you. He still loves you."

Virgil glares at him, but his eyes are so red, puffy, and glossy it is not intimidating, "No. He doesn't. He told me he doesn't need me." His voice cracked.

I glance at Roman then look at Virgil, "Did he say anything else?"

Virgil sniffled, "H-he... He called me a bad influence. He doesn't need me."

I hug Virgil and whisper comforting things in his ear. Now is not the time to tell him that Remy is trying to get custody of Logan or anything about him.

After he finishes crying he fell asleep in my arms.

Roman whispers, "He looks so... Unhealthy."

I nod solemnly, "He hasn't been eating or taking care of himself. Remy, Emile, and I are trying to help but he never left his room unless it was to go to the bathroom. He stopped showering though and stopped taking care of himself... Those words are tormenting him... Why did Logan have to be so rude about it?"

Roman looks away, "His parents probably made him say it. Logan would never say that to Virgil and he loves him a lot."

I nod and Roman kisses my forehead. He puts on a Disney movie and tries to relax. I kept my arms around the sleeping, fragile, emo.
