After 3 hours, the doctor went outside the Operating Room. He just finished the operation.

"The operation is done, she is stable for now. Mabuti nalang at walang natamaang vital part niya. But we still have to monitor her since she lost a lot of blood. Excuse me." he said then left.

After the Doctor left us, I saw Camille running towards us with a worried face she was with a guy.

"Oh my god, Tita, Is Leona okay?" said Camille.

"Oo, she's stable now. Kakatapos lang ng operasyon niya." Tita said.

"Ano ba kasing nangyari? Bakit hindi niya dala ang kotse niya? Alam niya namang nagkakainitan ang mag kontra partido eh." Camille said.

"I know, it's my fault, hindi ko inisip ng mabuti ang safety ni Leona. Kung sana hindi ako pumayag na sumabay siya kay Emman, hindi to mangyayari." Tito said.

"There's no point in blaming ourselves tito. It already happened, all we have to do is pray for her full recovery." I said to cheer everyone up.

"Oh, buhay ka pa pala? Buti naman at sumipot ka?" Camille said, full of sarcasm in her tone of voice. I figured she might be mad at me because I ignored Leona.

"Of course, I'm here for my wife." I said.

Leona's still my wife after all.

She rolled her eyes. I just ignored her.

After a few munites, the nurses transferred her into her room.

She's peacefully sleeping in her bed. She's so pale. Is she even eating in time when I was gone? She looks so weak right now.

I was staring at her, when Camille spoke.

"Hindi ka na ba galit sa kanya kasi muntik na siyang mamatay?" She said, her eyes focused on Leona. She's carresing her hair. I know she's worried at her.

"No. I just need time to process everything and I just want to give her time for her to realize if she really does love me." I said.

"Tsk. Mabuti nga at palaban tong bespren ko eh. Kasi kung hindi, matagal na siyang sumuko sayo. Kaso mahal na mahal ka niya eh. Kahit gaano siya ka busy sa trabaho niya iniisip ka pa rin niya kung kumain ka ba, kung okay ka lang ba, kung masyado ka bang nag tatrabaho kasi alam niyang workaholic ka. Ikaw lang ang iniisip niya Jaycee, sa dalawang linggo mong nawala. Alam ko din kung gaano ka niya ka miss. Kung gaano siya nangulila sayo. Kaso may kasalanan siya eh kaya tiniis nya lahat para makabawi sa'yo." she said. Her eyes are still looking at Leona's face.

"I know It took so long, but I forgave her already." I said.

"Mabuti naman kung ganon, wag mo nang pakawalan to si Leona, masyado siyang nasaktan kay Marcus. Wag mo na siyang saktan. Mahal ko tong bespren ko kaya wag kang matatangkang saktan siya kung ayaw mong mapatay kita." she said. I chuckled. Leona's lucky to have this kind of friend.

The room was silent after our conversation. She went outside to buy food.

I took a nap because I was tired from work. But I woke up because someone entered the room. It was Kate.

"Hey, what happened? Is she okay?" she asked. I looked at Leona, she's still still sleeping. This scene felt like a deja vu. Ang kaibahan lang ay si Leona ang nakaratay sa kama at si Kate naman ang pumasok sa pinto.

"Yeah. She's okay." I said. I stood up and went closer to Leona. I carresed her hair.

"Thank god, she's okay. What happened?" She asked.

I stopped carresing her and put both of my hands on my pocket. I just stared at her, I'm still worried.

"She was offered a ride to MFC by Mr. Emman, the politician. They we're ambushed on the way." I said.

"Oh my gosh. Is Mr. Emman okay?" she said.

"He's still critical." I said.

The room went silent. I just looked at Leona's face while she was sleeping.

I noticed her eyes open slowly.

"Leona? Baby?" I said. I held her hand.

When she was able to completely opene her eyes, shock was drawn all over her face when she saw me.

"J-Jaycee" she said. She tried to stand but she felt pain in her wound.

"Don't force yourself, just lay down." I said. She looked at Kate.

"K-kate" she said in a tired voice.

"Are you feeling okay? Kate, can you please call the doctor?" I said. She went outside to call the doctor.

"Are okay baby? I was so worried." I said.

She just nodded as a response. I carresed her hair and kissed her forehead. Para akong nabunutan ng tinik nang magising si Leona.

I didn't let go of her hand.

The doctor came inside her room and went straight to Leona.

"Hija, are you feeling okay? You lost a lot of blood so you need to regain your strength." the doctor said.

"What happened to tito Emman?" she said.

"He's still critical, but we're trying our best. The only thing that you should be worried about, is your recovery. You need to rest so that your wound will heal faster. We'll monitor your wound until it heals." he said.

She nodded. She looks tired and weak.

The doctor went outside and left us inside the room.

"Aren't you mad at me?" she said.

"Not anymore. I was so worried."

"So kailangan ko pa pala magpa ambush para mapatawad mo ako?" She said and laugged weakly.

I love this girl so much. She's on a hospital bed right now, but she still managed to joke around. Looks like I was worried for nothing.
