The tiny shake of the train as it chugged along the magical tracks it follows was one of the many things I loved about the Hogwarts Express.

The sound, the engine, the occasional toot of it horn... it made this long trip worth while to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Being a third year student, and a Gryffindor... things tended to start getting more boring and more serious with careers and where you wanted to go after graduating.

As I scribbled in my diary about how this year may be the year I finally try and become a real Gryffindor and tackle my fears to become brave, a presence at the door stops me.

"Oi."

I glanced at the compartment door to see my cousin, Lee Jordan, leaning against the door frame.

I nod to him, signalling that I was listening as he walks in and planted himself down on the seat across from me.

"Are you going to really sit in here by yourself, or are you going to join me?" He said in annoyance. I always sat alone no matter where I was, even in class.

"Huh?" I manage to croak out and he smiles at me.

"Are you going to come and sit with me or be a loner?" Lee said, once again.

I quickly put my diary to my chest and he rose his hands up in surrender.

"I don't mind." I told Lee, "I like being alone."

"I don't like you being alone," he told me, "come on, Minnie! Please?" Lee begs me like a child.

"Only if they're quiet..." Lee grins as he pulled me out of my seat carefully. I shut my diary and the lock automatically clicked to signal that it was locked.

"C'mon!" Says Lee with a giddy smile, he finally got me out of my loner square.

Or so he thought.

I dragged my cousin into the compartment with my friends and then sat her down in the seat closest to the window.

I knew she would love to see the outside while she had her nose buried in her books or her diary.

"Hey Minnie!" Angelina, my lovely crush, waves at her, but Alice didn't even see her. I frown slightly before tapping Alice's arm.

*She says hi.*

I sign to Alice and she turns her head around the compartment before eyeing Angelina, of course her name fits her, she was a literal—
