(Minnie pov) (24th of November)

"Are you sure you're going to be here in case something goes wrong?" I ask Charlie as we walked through the field together, it was Four Thirty in the morning, and the day of the first task.

"Yes, for the hundredth time— you sound like my mum," he groans.

"Sorry, I'm just worried," I said quietly.

"So I saw Fred and George the other day..." Charlie said, changing the subject. I groaned at Charlie.

"What about them?" I said bitterly.

"George told me that Fred's been a tad bit miserable without you hanging around." Charlie peers down at me, "is something wrong?"

"Nope," I said sternly, "nothing at all."

"I beg to differ," Charlie grins, "I sense jealousy, so, what's been—?"

"What?" I ask him, "I'm not jealous of Fred and Angelina!"

"Never said about Fred," he smirks, "so, that's what's wrong, you're jealous of him and his friend or something?"

"No." I cross my arms and then hissed in pain, "ow..." I uncross my arms and stare down at my uncasted arm.

"No cast?" He tilts his head, "Alice, you're not purposely..."

"Yeah..." I sigh, "I am."

"Why?" Charlie said, "why do you want to punish yourself like this? This is wrong, Alice." I wipe my face softly.

"Because I'm not good enough," I told him, I finally told someone what's going on. "I'm not good enough for anyone... I'm not jealous, I'm hurt."

"Why? What's he done?"

"He made me happy, I felt like I was finally good enough and then... he went distant, talked to her more, made her laugh and helped her do everything."

"Oh Alice..." Charlie hugs me to his side while I start to cry.

"I just want to be good enough for someone, Charlie. I've liked him for so long and now I have no chance..."

I was talking to Lee about the task quietly, we were excited, but scared for them at the same time. As Fred and George joined the pair of us, I went to say hello before seeing Viktor.

"Viktor!" I call as I jog up to him, he turns and smiles.

"Ah! Alice!" He cheers as he hugs me, he then kisses both of my cheeks before letting me go.

"Hello to you too," I laugh.

"Is it vorking?" I heard Viktor whisper as he hugs me again.

"I think so," I whisper back as he let me go.

"Come, come, we go eat together," he tugs me along and I giggle as I ran off with Viktor.

-

"Come, sit," I sat down beside Viktor nervously, all Slytherin eyes were on me as he hands me a plate with two slices of toast and some bacon.

"Thank you," I smile, taking the plate, this was the first time in a while I've been to breakfast.

"You need to eat so you can cheer me on," he winks, I roll my eyes playfully before chuckling.

"What are you doing on this table, mute?" Draco snaps, sitting beside me.

"Oh, Uh Viktor—" I went to say, but he interrupted me.

"She's with me, Malvoy," Viktor interrupted me, "she stays, and her name is Alice."

"Oh, okay, not a problem." Draco smiles, it made me sick, but then again, curious of his smile, it was rare to see him smile.
