(Fred pov) (a week later, Halloween)
Early in the morning, George, Lee, Katie, Alicia and Angelina and I were leaving the tower to go down to breakfast. Well, we were until I stopped and stared at the couch.
"What, Fred?" Angelina asks, sweetly smiling at me.
"Oh dear," George said, walking towards the couch, he leans over and mumbled to the person before they smacked him.
"Go away, George," they whine, which he laughs at. It was Minnie who was asleep on the couch, she's been sleeping out here for a week straight now.
She didn't come when George and I wanted to test our aging potion on the Goblet of Fire, we were trying to get into the tournament.
"Did you straighten your hair?" George asks her, staring down at her oddly.
"Yes." She answered, sitting up and then staring up at him, where were her glasses?
"No glasses?"
"I'm wearing contacts," she replies, "I just wanted a little lie down before heading off to the library for homework and studying; didn't want to worry 'bout my glasses... you know what I mean?"
"Did you want to come with us to get breakfast?" George asked her quietly, but we heard him.
"No thank you, I'll see you around maybe, George," she told George, biting her lip nervously, Alice always did that when she felt uncomfortable or nervous.
"Have you had breakfast?" She shakes her head.
"I'm just not up for it, maybe I'll head down later on and get something to eat. I'm behind on curses with Professor Moody." George's back straightened, she's turning breakfast down?
"Ah, well... we'll see you around hopefully, right, Minnie?" She slightly nods, laying back down on the couch and he moves something before walking towards us.
"Ready?" Katie asked George.
"Yeah, come on, she's tired and doesn't want to eat right now," George said awkwardly as we then left for the Great hall.
(Minnie pov)
As soon as they left, I got off the couch, cleaned everything around me and went off through the passageway to the library.
—
"Good morning, Madam Pince," I smile while signing myself into the library with the Ostrich quill feather.
"Good morning, Miss Jordan," Madam Pince said, tight lipped and expressionless.
"Have a great day," I whisper to her and she smiles.
"You too," I thank her quietly, then left for the very back where the tables were so I could study for the test Professor Moody had set for us.
I sat down and grabbed all my belongings out, I read my notes and then remembered I had my MP3 in my pocket.
I take it out and plug my earphones in before turning the volume down so Madam Pince doesn't have a fit at me.
—
As I walked down the hall, my footsteps echoing behind me, a song came on through my MP3 which brought a huge smile on my face.
"Are you gonna take me home tonight?
Ah, down beside that red firelight
Are you gonna let it all hang out?
Fat bottomed girls
You make the rockin' world go 'round
