(Minnie pov) (chamber of secrets)

Over the summer holidays I've been doing some muggle things, one in particular... cooking some desserts.

I hum as the radio plays while I finished making the strawberry sponge cake, the recipe was easy to follow, I've already made one for myself and I thought it tasted good.

"Now to go..." I was going to Oliver's as promised over the break to help him with the program for Quidditch drills and practices.

I put my cake into a box and taped it, I still hummed along to the music as I packed up all the boxes of cakes and other things and made my way towards the fireplace.

"Hope they enjoy it," it was a small 'thank you' gift to Oliver's parents for letting me stay over for a night.

I put the boxes in one arm as I grabbed my backpack off the ground and slid the bag strap up and on to my shoulder.

"Time to go." I mutter as I take some floo powder and said their address as I was engulfed into the emerald flames.

-

I huffed before checking the boxes, they weren't harmed which made me sigh in relief as I walked out of the fireplace.

"Hello?" I call and footsteps rushed into the sitting room. Oliver grins at me and I smile.

"Hello there," he said as he then started eyeing the boxes while I fixed my backpack strap.

"Hey." Oliver walks over as he dusted some powder off my shoulder before taking the boxes into an arm as he hugs me with the other.

"Good to see you, Minnie," he said as he let me go and we walked together through the sitting room.

"And you, Wood," I answered as he glanced at me before looking into the boxes.

"What's all this?" Oliver questions, "they look good."

"I made them myself as a thank you gift." I told Oliver, "there's donuts, strawberry sponge cake... and chocolate cupcakes." I list on the top of my head.

"Wicked, Mam! Pa!" Oliver shouts and I flinch slightly, "sorry Minnie," he mumbled.

"Is she here yet?!" Oliver's mother shouts, he shakes his head as he sighs before chuckling.

"Cover your ears," I nod as I covered my ears, "she's here!" Oliver shouts and I snorted as I uncovered my ears.

His parents walked in and I smile sheepishly at them as they gasp and then smile back at me.

"Oh, look at you!" His mother gushes at me as she walks over and I was pulled into a hug. I was shocked but I hugged her back.

"Oliver got us a book about sign language for you," my heart melted, they had one for me.

"I..." My nerves shot up.

*thank you!*

They both smile at me.

"You're welcome kid, Ollie had told us how anxious you can be, so we thought we might as well learn some to help you feel more comfortable." His father told me and I look at Oliver and smile.

*thanks.*

"No problem," he told me before looking at his parents, "oh! Minnie made us food." Oliver told them as he points to the boxes in his arm.

"For us? You shouldn't have!" His mum says as Oliver placed the boxes down on the table and they peered down at them.

"There's strawberry sponge cake, donuts and chocolate cupcakes," Oliver told them, "all freshly baked."
