(Minnie pov) (prisoner of Azkaban)

(One month later)

I had to get the hell out of here before he kills me. My father was getting worse, no matter what I would do, he would hit me for it or threatened to kill me if he didn't get his way with me.

I stare at my wardrobe and decided that tonight I was going to leave, so that's what I did; I started packing my bag as quietly as I could.

I was smart enough at school to have casted an infinite storage charm on my bag so anything and everything would be able to fit.

I put my broom inside my bag and then looked around and listened for my dad in case he heard me.

I knew he was asleep, he can't get me... I drugged the lunatic earlier when he asked me for coffee. Who has coffee at 10:30 at night?

-

Anxiety was bursting through my chest as I waited for it to be midnight, I was so desperate to get the hell out of here.

Eyes widened in realisation at the grandfather clock downstairs, it rung through the entire house and another cold shiver goes down my spine.

I looked to my door that quickly I might as well of given myself whiplash.

I got off the floor and opened the window, grabbing by backpack and putting it on. I pull my wand off the nightstand, not caring about being expelled and shouted:

"Bombarda!"

The bars exploded and I climbed out of the window, grabbing the tree branch. I step on to it and proceeded to monkey myself slightly forward. Pulling my wand out again, I used it to shut my window quietly.

Midnight is when the Knight bus arrives at whoever's house if called upon by a distressed witch or wizard.

That's what I was hoping for as I jumped out of the tree and ran for it.

-

I was five streets away, alone in a street light lit up area, I sat myself on a bench and shut my eyes as I wished for the bus to come and get me.

And then I looked up, I saw the Knight bus and sigh in relief as the conductor in a purple uniform leapt out of the bus and began to speak loudly to the night.

"Welcome to the Knight Bus, emergency transport for the stranded witch or wizard. just stick out your wand hand, step on board, and we can take you anywhere you want to go. My name is Stan Shunpike, and I will be your conductor this evening."

The conductor stopped abruptly.

"What were you doin' down 'ere at this time of night?" Stan asked, dropping his professional manner.

"Ran away," I said.

"'Choo run for?" Stan sniggered.
